I prefer to read that phonetically, as in the Participant Fairy, a tiny burly man in a tutu and bunny ears who swoops down, tears cameras out people's hands and make do the Lindy Hop.

Was so happy to get those emails though. I'm a ticketholder!

And sprinkles others with playa, er, fairy dust. Is like Plutonium dust, just not as tasty. IS just as toxic, however. Turns normies into Burners, Burners into Shirtcockers, Shirtcockers into Ravers, Ravers into Barie Burners, an Barbie Burners into APOKILIPTIKANS... so MUST be good!!!

They just want to make you feel... special...

Special events team always spells it with an E on the end (though I never see them dressed in ren faire attire at the events). And whenever they get the chance, they like to capitalize it as FaIRE :)

Thanks for posting this Fishy. This would be a really good thing for burgins to attend or for anyone who wants to hook up with a volunteer group.

I went and it was a beautiful day in SF. The event was a room full of tables from various groups seeking volunteers. High energy and fun. I found my nitch. A perfect fit. I'm gonna be a Greeter! Sure I have 2 other places I like to volunteer but I love the greeters. I can't wait. (Of course I was having a hard time waiting anyway). PLUS...that goodwill on Van Ness and Mission kicks ass.
