I am broken. Totally broken. But on the plus side we did achieve to make 96 laminate tags and the quote game.

I'm stoked that you got the game together. I think it's a FABULOUS idea.

Jeez I didnt realize so many of the frequent e-playans were BDC members. I'll be stopping by for the Thursday M&G assuming I know what day of the week it is by that time :). I'll be hiking over from Camp Toga 7:15 & F.

We just sent out the 2012 edition of our Newbie Primer. A little different from last year's (aren't they always?). If anybody would like to see it, PM me with your email address (you do not have to be a member of BDV since most of its sagely advice is universal because I wrote it) and I'll be happy to send it along.

OK, some news to report. We have received the link for our early arrival passes! Felony and I will begin sending them out as early as tomorrow. Currently nobody on the wait list is being awarded a pass, but we'll let you know as the days progress. If anybody who isn't on the newsletter list would like to see August's, PM me with your email addy and I'll get it out ASAP. Also we have our assigned time for the Black Rock Yearbook to take our Village picture: 11 a.m. Thursday right on the corner of 4:00 and Edelweiss. Immediately following the picture we will adjourn to the wedding of Drew and Mindy. Somebody ice down the champagne, m'key?

Why not simply slip away for 20 minutes? You are, after all, a volunteer. The picture won't be the same without you!

I'm not a member of the camp but I will agree with Doc. I'm sure if you talk to someone in charge and explain the situation they would be open to working with you.

Maybe stay an extra 20 after your shift is done to make up for the time.

I think I understand about the more decadence part; that's the goal of many of our camps, but what is the less tolerance about? Less tolerance for sparkle ponies and pannie-whining in general? I look forward to visiting your camp this year.

Just curious if anyone has pictures of Barbie Day Spa from last year.... 2011? If so, can you email them to me? For some reason we never took a picture. :(

Joe, I have a video I could send. Katie M'Lady is naked and getting rubbed down, but apart from that it's PG. I'll see if I can get if off to you after I wade through all of these stupid posts.

Now that the early arrival pass snafu has been taken care of, Mike in San Francisco is doing his level best to get everyone's passes out to them within the next 24 hours. You will need to print them up yourselves and have them with you, along with your ticket or Will Call notice, when you get to the gate. We have no extras so if you screw up and leave yours at home, enjoy an extended stay in Reno.

Also remember the pre-party at my home in Newcastle, next Saturday at 4 p.m. All Burners from the general Placer-Sacramento-Nevada-El Dorado County region are welcome. If you're not a Barbiebarian, please bring along something to share. If you need directions, PM me. We get dusty in two weeks!

Anyone else staying at the Sands Regency? Me and Johnny we'll be arriving there onThursday the 23rd of August. Hopefully they stocked up their tequila bar because I'll be effin' thirsty after flying for 13 hours!

We'll be hitting Reno on Friday the 24th for grocery shopping. If anyone feels like tagging along, be sure to do so! :)
We could use some pointers as to what to get shading structure wise. As for now we didn't find anything suitable to fly out to Reno.

Kevin and Jonathan, I have your EA passes and me and Blowphish will be picking you up at 11:10 a.m. Saturday morning. Be on the lookout for Robert Waterfall from Australia. He'll be joining us as well. See you in front of Mel's Diner in 11 days!

We received ours this morning... and now I AM FUCKING EXCITED! I don't recall if it was 2002 or 03 when I first had my first taste of Barbie wine, but it was just a handful of Barbies in the dust in front of your RV. And now... I'M A BARBARIAN! I get to help set them up, I have a terrific spot in the village, and did I mention I AM FUCKIGN EXCITED?

And grateful to be in a terrific village, in a terrific spot.

Okay, now I'm going to panic because I never feeel like I have enough art to gift.

Well, less tolerance for the plastic mannequins, as there will be more of them than ever being sent to the ovens...

MDF, I can try and cover for you!
That early on Thursday hopefully everyone will still be sleeping and the lines wont be too huge.
Plus, you're working everyday, its not like you can't miss 1/6th of a shift.

OK Barbiebarians and everyone else. We may have a major snafu. The gentleman who had promised to tow the large flatbed with the water, piano, carpeting, foosball table, etc. on the playa has "vanished". No word from him for over a week. It's as if he's in jail. So here's the problem: We might need somebody to either tow the large flatbed or drive up Barbie's Mobile Whorehouse. (It was going to be towed on another flatbed but we can substitute one for the other.) The art vehicle is street legal and has had a complete go-over so it's in as good shape as it has ever been. Whoever drives the art vehicle or tows the flatbed will get Early Arrival passes (two) and have all of their gasoline paid for roundtrip. Any takers?
