Happy happy about your backup chair Fishy. Having a set of playa wheels does seem like a solid idea. Now, we just have to figure out how the tank-tread conversion...

Received emails today from the OR Fire Marshalls office that I've been approved to take their Pyrotechnics Operators License exam. Woohoo! On-line test, no drive to Salem.
Now if they would just finish revising the test where it is actually available....

Thanks for the update, I enjoy hearing reports directly from the playa. The alarm bells have been ringing for awhile now and I intend to be over prepped to handle the conditions. I bet we see a thinning of the masses prior to Saturday as some inevitably show up unprepared and find themselves miserable. Not wishing for it, just my prediction.

Here's the gang at Oneeyed Dick's last night.

Espressodude broke out the handheld propane 'flamethrower', turned the tank updide, and was shooting liquid propane fireballs up n the sky.
The fire dept showed up and asked Dick to call in before he starts playing with fire so they know what's going on...

The moon is GORGEOUS tonight.

I gazed fondly at it tonight on my way to the grocery store for a few Burn provisions, and realized with a start that the next time I see the moon looking that damned good, it's gonna be on the playa with all you fine people.

YAY!!! for Mel and Foxfur! BTW that will be a BLUE MOON you see in BRC this year, the 2nd full moon in a calendar month so yeah, blue butt paint is coming to the M&G.

Sweetpea typically isn't too thrilled when I have visitors up but she really likes Mel. She said she loved listening to her and I talking outside because she can hear the enthusiasm in her voice

first:
how, could anyone, do anything but love Mel? hearing her and seeing her, let alone being around her?.........she's a peach!!
second:

Ok so things aren't great right now for me but all you wonderful people are MAKING it great anyway. Can't wait to see you all! I am so excited and just got started on my packing. Also my son came home from his Gramma's today ( I haven't seen him in 3 weeks) and I am so happy my baby is with me, I always miss him to bits when he is away even if he is with great people having a great time. I think I have hugged him 20 times already, thankfully at 8 he is still young enough that it doesn't bug him

I leave for the playa in 2 days
I'm all done painting the travel trailer
I got all the gift t-shirts sorted and packed
I found my tactical combat skirt and hot pants
My cat loves me
The milky way is bright as fuck tonight

I love y'all but seriously, cheer the hell up!
