Today, I channeled a stupid workman spirit, and it caused me to have two fingers in a sliding door channel, while the other hand heaved the sliding panel. Usually those doors are stuck and require a heave for every two inches. One is slick as ice... I found. Quick somebody please have a double shot for me.

Yea since I am not drinking and sort of new to retirement, I feel I have to do something around the house. I have neglected it for so long. Even mundane things like I have to clean my fucking fridge. Oh well.......

Speaking of ice...

... shove those fingers in the icy drink, that'll make you feel better than the booze. ;)

Ouch ouch! I second the fingers in the icy liquid suggestion. Briefly as tolerated, repeat as indicated. Ouch. :(

It's o.k., I'm getting tough points for carrying on. Dull throb now, much relieved from the time of incident. Oh bruddah! No guitar for a while. There was a little baby juice bottle frozen in the freezer and I grasped it until I could breath again. Thanks.

I tell ya, Yggy, it's 'feast or famine' up there. If it's not so dry the trees might spontaneously ignite, then people are starting to get worried about the snowpack  In all seriousness, I hope it all adds up to 'just right' and you don't end up with flooding and slides come springtime. In the meantime, bundle up and enjoy the heat and warmth the Hofstove puts out.

Ouch, Elorrum! Hopefully the healing process is quick, and the dull throb falls away in short order.

Last night Pandorra and I got to attend an awesome talk and Q&A at SF MOMA from King Leo (co-founder of Disorient) about his upcoming Bay Lights project. This is the thing I'd thought was a couple weeks back (the calendar appt she sent me was for the wrong day hehe). It was really fascinating. He told us and showed us pics and footage from his first experiments and art pieces with LED's to his first big installation in NYC to the Bleeker street subway station and Madison Square Park Buckyball to the big National Gallery thing in DC, and on to this upcoming Bay Lights project. And very cool to see the making of/behind the scenes stuff, like designing specialized clips (to hold the lights/wires to the cable) to power and controllers and all the other steps he and the project have come thus far. He and his team are in the final testing/debugging phase now, with the official launch on March 5th. From there it's going to run for two solid years, so it'll be there for the america's cup races and all the other fun nonsense that goes on in SF throughout the year. It's an exciting and inspiring project, if you get within striking distance of the bay area in the next couple years try to make it to either Treasure Island (where Bliss Dance is installed) or Embarcadero near the Ferry Bldg (where the Raygun Gothic Rocket Ship is installed) sometime after dusk, I think those are going to be great vantage points.

yeah Trilo, it's always a curiosity, how our snow pack will accumulate, and will there be enough to keep the springs, which feed the creeks, which pour into the rivers..........going.

that light thing sounds so cool! not only seeing how it went together, but, to see it. I hope to.

Just came back from seeing a very beautiful movie called "Quartet" It is about a an English retirement home for musicians that include instrumentalists and singers, mostly of classical music. It was directed by Dustin Hoffman and stars Maggie Smith and a fine cast. Much of Verdi music from his operas. It was alive from beginning to end and very sensitive and touching. Elorrum, I think you'd love this film.

Had a very restful day and now for tennis in the morning and an opening of an art show in SF for a good friend on Sunday.

Started thinking about shade and other structures for the Playa. Anyone with plans for PVC pipe structures, please let me know. I've done the "monkey hut" thing and may want to create a round structure to replace my tent, maybe 12 or 14 feet in diameter with a center height of about 8 feet or so.

Heads for the NEB hoping for some snuggle company.

Morning! Wondering what the day will bring. Coffee will provide inspiration that is lacking. I thought I'd fire up the bread oven this morning. I know that cat knows how to check in by typing messages to us. I wonder how he's doing. Some mornings I wish I had the Shaker set up where all the furniture you can sit on gets hung on the wall. Too much distraction in my domicile. Being sent to my room was never seen as much of a punishment. Thanks for the movie tip, Marty, sounds right up my alley, and well, Maggie Smith... who could lose? When I finish my chores, I'll check out the early show this morning, or tomorrow.
