Wall Drug...last time there was Nov 1996...vaguely remember the dinosaur.
Don't bore your friends with all your troubles. Tell your enemies instead, for they will delight in hearing about them.
Re: SIDESHOW Geeks, Freaks and Absurdities
Yup - dinosaur is still there doing its same thing. Lights, fog, loud noises about every 15 minutes. Kids (and adult kids) are still sucking up the action and drawn to it like corn dogs to mustard.... Got to personally witness the carnage last summer

Re: SIDESHOW Geeks, Freaks and Absurdities
For this sideshow spectacle Mr Killbuck I would like to create for you a coconut shy like none other, in essence it will be a digital coconut shy, Audio Visual in nature. Sonic boombox by day - multi-stream video projection by night. Triggered by the mastery of a naked eye and the tumbling of a nut... Each nut with its own distinct character, just like its maker

the future kicks...

Re: SIDESHOW Geeks, Freaks and Absurdities
Yes, we have vast groves of coconuts here in Nevada. The entire Great Basin is one bloody-vast coconut prairie!!!! Except for the small patches of land interspersed here and there where we raise corndogs in factory farming operations.
I look forward to hearing how this fab idea can come to pass!

Re: SIDESHOW Geeks, Freaks and Absurdities
Actually Emperor Norton did not have dogs. it's a trick question.
Most say Bummer and Lazarus... but even tho these two dogs were indeed real and famed SF strays beloved by the city, they were mistakenly associated with Norton, mostly due to cartoons of the period of Norton, that on two occasions put them in the same image.
BUT if he DID have dogs.... what WOULD he have named them??????

Re: SIDESHOW Geeks, Freaks and Absurdities
well that was nerve- wracking. between being at work with mandatory meetings, not having computer access due to At&T outage, and going home to get my laptop...i ended up pulling over to the side of the road to finish my entry once my turn in the queue came up (2 1/2 hrs later). i need a xanax. well, this glass of wine will have to do.
