I sense that I am entering an area of some confusion here. He he! We need to talk. Remind me at the MnG or just come by our camp and I will be happy to sort things out for you of the calamitous confusion.

*thunder of camel hooves outside. Elliot strolls in all covered in mud and sawdust*
Just stopping by. Pardon the camels -- and the zebras, and the yak oxen, and the Gabbon (sp?) apes, and the red fox about to have puppies, and so forth. Oh, and the six-foot alligator in the basement of the old farm house. Just helping my brother get the zoo ready for the season. Borrowing some sort of tiny pooter for a moment. Gotta go back out and continue chopping thru frozen ground to drain snow-melt from... everywhere around here. Nearest town on a map: Hamar, Norway. Close to the Lillehammer Winter Olympic site. Website for the zoo is being created in the next room.
Back 7 May, if the ill-tempered 9-foot bird doesn't get me first. I cannot even think of its name in English -- giant flightless bird with long neck, kicks like a mule. Called "struts" here.
Had a bunch of tiny Marmoset monkeys climbing all over me yesterday.
Wild mix of Norwegian Danish and Swedish spoken here, so I don't know a word of English at the moment.
Gotta go reinstall the seat on a tractor backhoe attachment -- the silly thing broke and the local blacksmith fixed it up stronger than new.
*camel leaves, Elliot hanging on for dear life*

Afternoon everyone! Yggy, your wisteria looks so lovely! I'm looking forward to the lilacs blooming this year! And I'm loving the ST vehicle!
Sometimes I'm confused by what I think is really obvious. But what I think is really obvious obviously isn't obvious.

Re: The Bar, Volume #4
...Ostrich, I guess. Oh, and I found a large egg -- about 6 or 7 inches -- in an out-of-the-way place yesterday. So I suppose either an ostrich or a (slightly) smaller bird (emu?) ran lose at some point. I'm told that sort of thing is not unusual. All right, back May 7.

Re: The Bar, Volume #4
Oh the memories, back when I lived in Texas my moms friend had an ostrich ranch. Those things are assholes, I tried to ride one once but I could never stay on once it started moving.
The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong it usually turns out to be impossible to get at or repair.

*wanders in, makes CCCP*
dang this concrete work is getting hard on me.....We started a job yesterday, where the family took the "low bid" two years ago and the curbing (around a family plot in the cemetery) is falling apart, so they had the guy come back and tear it out, and hired me to do it, again, but "right". But working in someone else's mess is frustrating, along with having to pour by wheelbarrow, since you can't take a big concrete truck into the cemetery. I'll be doing the plaster coat today, and probably need traction by tonight, all the bending necessary to do the sides of the walls.
I guess I shoulda paid attention in yoga.........haha
wish me luck!
