Total height for flame efeects on MV's
Just finishing up a poofer for my small art car. In the guidelines for MV's it says "all approved fire must be above head height (10 feet)" 10 ft is really tall on my little car. I can do it but I want to be sure I need to. Does anyone have experience with this? It's the weekend and an email won't be read till Monday by the Fire Team so I sought at least some opinions here. Thanks for any and all help.

the only answer that matters is from the Fire Team....
My opinion? Even if it is not required, it is pretty negligent to have a poofer within range of someone's 3' tall headpiece. Sure you will check to make sure no one is near....but why make it possible to torch someone who casually walks by?

You're right. I'm going 10ft and see what happens. Cutting down is always easier than adding. Thanks.

My campmates have one on the volcano, about 7.5 - 8ft. off the ground. Works every year...

You will find your answer at this address. Also, getting this close to the Event, I check that address for emails at least 4-5 times a day, every day.
