Burner Express/Rideshare Question

Post by Nierika » Mon Aug 19, 2013 7:56 pm

I was planning on taking the Burner Express to BRC (this will be my first burn :)), but failed to realized that the only bus that makes a stop at Save Mart is leaving at 12 (my flight doesn't get into Reno until 11:25am). I could use some help weighing my options at this point. I already posted on the rideshare page. So my other options are as follows:

1- Book the Burner Express 2 pm departure, cab it into Reno to pick up water. Cab it back to the airport. (I have to decide on this soon b/c sales end tomorrow)
2- Wing it when I get there and find a ride.

Any advice from someone more experienced than I would be greatly appreciated. If I do take a cab into Reno, any suggestions on where to go close to the airport? I only need to pick up my water/maybe a bottle of champagne or two (champagne is not essential, but would be nice)

If I do show up and wing it, how hard is it to find a ride? I will be traveling solo with a carry on and 1 checked bag.

Thanks for you help. I can't wait to meet all of you beautiful people!

Not hard to find a ride. There is a desk at the airport that deals with the burner influx and they do a ride share.

Note: I have never done this (coming from the bay area) but this is the distilled essence of reading dozens to hundreds of posts on the isseu.
