the bar has many rooms. Decorate one in any style you like. I lean toward the saloon, I like wood, and shadows... still looking for the right one.

I also will most likely keep one area of the old bar... it has a whole lot of modifications I can still keep playing with.

*leans into the light while sitting in a dark corner of the bar*

..Evening folks,

Good to see everyone! I've been dealing with some things on the homefront lately, but it sure is nice to know that the old familiar faces are here. Always good to see new ones too!

*waves to bedlamdoll, kairielise, and others*

We are getting an especially windy storm front rolling through here at the moment. Gusts over 40mph, which is pretty high for these parts. Hopefully there will still be some leaves on the trees tomorrow, as they were just now beginning to reach full fall color.

mgb.. sometimes I think it is probably a good idea to take a break, but I hope you stick around for the long haul. I enjoyed talking with you (and Sic Pup) at the M&G. Besides, we need updates on Stinko from time to time! I've been meaning to mention that I took your advice, and took the 'Loneliest Highway' through Nevada on the way back home after the burn. Very picturesque. Thanks for the tip!

*looks behind the bar and notices empty spot where the Pappy Van Winkle bourbon used to be*
dang!

Well, getting late here, better get some sleep. .. 'nite all..

Happy Halloween all!

I had my first ever trick or treater come to my house tonight. Squee! Now, if only I can remove the snuggling cat from my lap so I can go work out and burn off all those mini candies I ate for quality testing.

Or, you know, so I can get up and pour myself some whiskey. One of those.

I am finding that mini-candies and whiskey make a great combination. 8)

I'm mainly just trying to avoid disturbing the cat, who has been put out at me all day since she hasn't been allowed outside (she's a black cat and it's Halloween and people are assholes-really, none of my cats were allowed out today, but especially not her).

She just started purring, y'all. I may not move the rest of the night.

:coffee: :coffee: :coffee:

My cats were trying to snuggle me last night, but since I have two sets of cats, things got tense. The Siamese wanted out, but fortunately, he'd scoot into the bedroom when kids came to the door. One of the times I opened the door, Ali cat came running in. She is not my cat, adorable little tuxedo who lives two doors down. On her second set of kittens, I'm thinking I should just swipe her and have her fixed. She's very sweet and far too friendly, and terrorizes every other cat. I had to shoo her out, hopefully she just went home.

BVB, Stinko is asleep on the sofa next to me now, he is a good dog. Little odorous at times. I enjoyed talking with you at the M&G, as well as the rest of you that were there. That highway is a trip, I love it. This year I did some "major" Suburban repairs on the side of the road returning East. No problem at all, as I am a fixer of things. Morning all, windy here. Trilo, any cat nonsense today yet?

*wanders in, makes CCCCFSW*

well, Elliot, according to the "Law of LABIA" there can be an infinite number of attached lounges to "the bar", so as such, whatever you choose to add, is wonderful. I would propose, the "main bar" remain that of Elorrums design, in that as we imbibe and inebriate, knowing the layout of a familiar place is helpful for stumbling, etc., and just the continuity of it all. But, also, I'll go with what everyone wants.
You all make it a great place, the rest is secondary. except for safety, which is third.

Glad to seeya drop in mgb, do tell of your homeward adventure.

Aww, thoughtful bunny!

It's not actually that cold here, just cold enough to wrap up in the blankets while I work today.

AntiM-my Siamese was constantly trying to go out last night, and he's fearless around people, so I kept having to play the "scoop Johnny up and take him back inside" game. Next year, I'm making him a costume if he insists on being out on Halloween.

from the chat at the time, it was a novelty. A lot of the previous board didn't like it much.
Koosh was at another bar on another site as well, so it wasn't the first time ever. Whether Tisha was aware of others, I do not know.

Hey Ygmir! I'm still trying to learn all these acronyms. What does "TV" stand for?

An other thing.... This is a bar, so maybe somebody has an answer: Adorning my kitchen table is a "party pig" of beer -- now empty, of course. The label says "$20.00 deposit". This thing was given me in Corvallis, Oregon. I don't even see party pigs on grocery shelves around here. Any chance I can milk this pig for the $20 -- other than storing it until my next visit to Corvallis?

House sitting. Two cats. Sunday morning is when they finally sit with me. Up to this point I've just been the door opener. Good day to finish the final cleanout of the car, and put the front passenger seat back in. There's a nice pot of coffee giving me activation energy. :coffee:
A good day to you all.

Hi ASD! no......I'm not much of a car racer. Raced motorcycles in my youth, and we'd hold illegal "off road" races up around the Hof area, where in our truck, dune buggies, whatever we'd race up the old dirt roads....I have no idea why no one was killed or injured, we'd reach speeds of 60 mph at times, sliding sideways around blind corners, going in the ditch, off banks.......damn fun, but looking back I shudder at the danger for anyone near us.

Hi Elorrum! any progress on looking for a truck?

Hi yggy, no headway on vehicle search. Alas, I am stuck in the thrall of a paid for car that is running well and getting good gas mileage. Leaning away from truck to mini van or something like the subaru cross trek, both in dream planning back burner again. I'd like more cargo room, but like lockable inside cargo room at this point. I don't know. If you see a good deal pop up, please let me know.

Beer pig, BevMo -- good idea.

Clearlake to Thunderhill -- 40 miles east to I-5, 25 miles north, 7 miles west. I suppose I "need to" check it out one day.
