Re: what are you making?

Quit my job on Valentine's day. Blew up the bridge with a stick of dynamite. "Walked Out!" Been there for four years. Been on this island for 30 years. Gave up my shop, spent all day and last night till 5am this morning, moving my stuff again. Never get a chance to put things together. I just move from one place to another, whenever there is a new situation. Now I'm making trips to the salvage yard, with many more in the near future. Finally getting light, and efficient. What am I making? My escape!!! Oh, and I'm laying in my soon to be complete mobile living unit. Have tools, will travel. Keeping all the "Off the Grid" power source stuff. Didn't give myself enough head room, but that's OK. It's bullet proof & can survive extreme temperatures. Besides my second story is going to be a"Shift Pod" on the upper deck. Going home soon! "Vermont or Bust."

I built a 84" X 32" X 4" depth water holding container. You can fit 63 half gallon milk containers, laying horizontal. It fits in the floor when you need cold water in extreme heat, or you can move to the ceiling, when it's extremely cold, and you don't want your water to freeze. Of course monitoring how much you use is pretty simple. 3 gallons per day + 1 1\2 gallons of coffee being spilt. That would be about how many times my dog knocked my coffee out of my hand. I miss that bitch.

When one lives on an island one must be very careful which side of the bridge they are on before blowing it up.

I'm a good swimmer. When you are around inconsiderate, and morally challenged people, that's how you gotta be.

I didn’t make anything super interesting or creative today.

But, two days ago I took an image of an old print of mine, a lithograph and turned it into a stop-motion animation.

I’ve done this a lot with some of my older paintings and pastels and screen prints, but this was a really fun idea in particular to execute. One reason is that the print that I selected to work with was made by my hand carving a stencil from a drawing.

Back when I made print series, years ago, I carved an image of trees and a fire escape and I printed the sky around that stencil in a color I mixed in printing ink, on black paper with best paintball gun. Then I printed a moon separately after that dried. In yellow ink. I think I just painted on the highlights.

I was looking for this thread the other day. Most excellent bump, ygmir.

Saw my local Kiwanis club is having a bike and bike parts sale, they take 20% for consignment, and you can donate unsold items. I have two bolt on trike axles. One last playa electric trike with passenger trailer pethaps, or release to Kiwanis projects?

Just a small project, to bump this thread.
I made a work table for a friend the other day. Made it portables since they move a lot, so the legs are attached with a single 1/2"x6" lag bolt. She can then just unbolt and pack everything flat.
One of the fun things, is, I knew this wood when it was a tree. It got beetles, so we fell it a few years ago. I let it blue for a time, them, cut the lumber with my Woodmizer mill and let it dry and season before use.

well, I made a "saw" for the front of my skidsteer, to cut small trees and brush at ground level for fire protection. It seems to have worked pretty well on my test area this weekend.
it's upside down in two of the photos for tooth shaping and sharpening
