i WILL be. i always am. it's just been a very tough spell here.... one of those things that makes you begin to question your own head and your own analysis and everything. and i don't like the fact that not only am i hurting, but the other party in it all is, too. *sigh* i had a conversation with my lil' sis last night about how freakin' dangerous trust is. which is - well, just sad.Zulegoona wrote:How are you doing Rian I see your using little font again, you ok?
besides that, i'm nursing a cold. but besides all THAT, i'm well.
what's new with you, Zule? I've been a little wrapped up in myself... forgive me....

I'm doing,.. well, ok I guess,.. I have found it impossible to do a decent job search I just can't get myself out there, it feels like things are crumbling around me and I just can't get up and do anything about it. The thing is I don't even feel too bad about it. The fire went out and I'm content to watch the coals glow. I know I need to stoke it up again but I can't get myself to move. I'm not even very worried about it, I feel like I'll be able to pull out of it before things get desperate, but in the back of my mind I know the past isn't always a good predictor of the future.Rian Jackson wrote:i WILL be. i always am. it's just been a very tough spell here.... one of those things that makes you begin to question your own head and your own analysis and everything. and i don't like the fact that not only am i hurting, but the other party in it all is, too. *sigh* i had a conversation with my lil' sis last night about how freakin' dangerous trust is. which is - well, just sad.Zulegoona wrote:How are you doing Rian I see your using little font again, you ok?

i got it, Sam. i think you, with your Portlander illness, made me sick. Damn you. and then i passed some of it on to GiggleSnort, poor girl.
Zule, i'm sorry. that pretty much blows. i think the hardest part about jobs is searching for them. ESPECIALLY if you've spent any time getting paid to do whatever you love. then you're really screwed.

I think it's time we snuck in here one night and replaced all those "beers" with some actual beer. You know, beer that isn't weak as piss and half as tasty. We can make shandies out of lemonade and real beer if these folks need to liquidizes selves without getting drunk.III wrote:>Hamms

beer trivia: those two, along with olympia, are all the same beer. same vat, different cans, depending on what they need.

My theory is that this is a stalking song, with all that lush romantisism and no indication that he's ever actually talked to the girl. Does that jibe?samtzu wrote:speaking of Tom Waits:
Outside another yellow moon
Has punched a hole in the nighttime, yes
I climb through the window and down to the street
And I'm shining like a new dime
The downtown trains are full with all of those Brooklyn girls
They try so hard to break out of their little worlds
Well you wave your hand and they scatter like crows
They have nothing that will ever capture your heart
They're just thorns without the rose
Be careful of them in the dark
Oh, if I was the one you chose to be your only one
Oh baby can't you hear me now, can't you hear me now
Will I see you tonight on a downtown train
Every night it's just the same, you leave me lonely now
I know your window and I know it's late
I know your stairs and your doorway
I walk down your street and past your gate
I stand by the light at the four-way
You watch them as they fall, oh baby they all have heart attacks
They stay at the carnival, but they'll never win you back
Will I see you tonight on a downtown train
Where every night, every night it's just the same, oh baby
Will I see you tonight on a downtown train
All of my dreams they fall like rain, oh baby on a downtown train
Will I see you tonight on a downtown train
Where every night, every night it's just the same, oh baby
Will I see you tonight on a downtown train
All of my dreams just fall like rain, all on a downtown train
All on a downtown train, all on a downtown train
All on a downtown train, a downtown train

I'm sure it does, but every once in a while, it's good to get a surge of cold air, so you appreciate the warmth of the blankets and others' arms...BlueBirdPoof wrote:Doesn't the neverending blanket stretch to behind the bar at need?GuinivereElise wrote: Hold on, I'll just quick run to get the gin...

morning everyone. I'll have some of that coffee, if there's any left...

It was a DEVolution courtesy of the DEVplaya. Someone suggested that it was hacked and that the hackers had our log-ins, so I paniced (clear headed ness not being one of my strongest virtues, harumff) and switched my log-in code. Never got it to work and started posting back as the BlueBird. In other words, just another silly e-playa moment, courtesy of your fishleapingtoconclusions.Zulegoona wrote:Fishie I was away or something when you made the switch back to Bluebirdpoof, what happened why the switch?

GE-- I'm better than I was yesterday. I stayed home, didn't eat, drank a lot of water and just read (about photosynthesis? Why?), but to make it up there this weekend, and take two days off next week (to go to the LL) I need to work this week, gack!....
Fishy-- thanks for ruining that song for me. I've loved the way Tom Wait's sang it (Screw Rod Stewart!) and always thought that it was about an ugly guy in love with a beautiful lady. Stalking never entered the picture for me.... although, now....
Zule-- thanks, that works too.... ptooh!
