I'm gearing up for work at the Hof, and of course the party on the 13th weekend.
the alternate route in is ok. The last mile or so is just as rough as the other way, but it's shorter on the "roughest" part. More dirt road, but better maintained. Still not sure about the route in from the east. I've gotten no reports from anyone driving in that way.

I"m currently installing the granite siding on the Hof, so staying up there days at a time stacking rocks....therapy or flagellation, I'm not sure....

I believe that's the overflow from the multi-week lasting hand & clothes protective film. Before cured, it can be concentrated with acetone.

the most sticky nasty stuff ever made. sticks to everything, insulates, waterproofs, and allows for thermal movement differentials between the 8" of concrete wall behind, and 4" of granite masonry wall/siding.

He informed me recently that this year's Hof Ting is canceled for lack of sign-ups.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to make it out to the Hof yet; I'm hoping this year is just an aberration. It certainly is a generous offer.

additionally, the alternate route, that's being used due to the main road still not being repaired, has gone to hell! it's getting so torn up and rough, it's a very unpleasant last mile or so.....so yeah, hoping for road repairs and all for next year I guess? dang the luck of the last two years though.... I miss my friends....

burner von braun, as far as i'm concerned, I think I may never go to burningman again. killbuck and I are going to try and go to regionals (went to pagan bunny and soak, then onto wasteland weekend) so a mini-version of sideshow is our camp. the rest of the camp will reconfigure as coyote magic camp, I think. living in reno, it feels like we burn all year round, and there is ample opportunity to work on burningman destined art projects. look forward to the hof next year!

It's the volunteer season. As all the individuals and departments make that last push to the playa, everyone could use a hand. Yesterday Census wrapped up some loose ends. Today I'm off to help Center Camp with decor. Maybe I'll start on my own prep soon.
