Still in the panic of stuff I need to finish and time I have left lol. It's leading me to teeter on the edge of heatstroke, as I venture outside in mid-day temps well over 100 to try and make progress on a few things that a smarter and more patient version of me would only work on in the early mornings and the evenings lol.

Orphan burns can be fun. Some local burners in our community who have semi-retired from Burning Man (but still go big and do a large theme camp at our regional) throw a "no burner left behind" soiree at their place, and when we took last year off it was a chance to check that out. Lots of fun, and had a solid turnout of both burner and burner-adjacent or burner curious.

We're going to be low-key at the new place this year, though I am planning to install my piece from last year 'permanently' at this spot

By which I mean, I spend the time in the crawlspace of your Hof. It's very peaceful this time of year.

I'll be on the playa in Spirit.

It's home stretch time for us. Last of the pre-playa projects was completed yesterday, and I finished my share of the pre-cooking for our personal camp food. I also got a fair amount of the shop packed up. There are some errands to run today, then it's all largely packing and loading.

Things always slow down in the summer.

This year more so.

I haven't sold or move a plant in months.

Like everything, this is both a blessing and a curse.

I don't have to go out in the heat, but I'm not making a dime. :lol:

I can relate. the curse of the self employed! sometimes we don't have to work every day, but, make no money when we don't!
Sounds like some wild weather on the playa so far.

I still have it… it’s been parked under a tarp for ten years… it’ll take a LOT of repair and refitting and general dry-dock work…
But if I’m coming, so is it.

Well, if anyone wanders in, please help yourself to refreshments. Been a quiet place here for the most part, but I sorta feel some of the ghosts from the past (literally and figuratively) may still lurk, from time to time.
