Yeah, but it's nice to have things done.
The person below me decided today to jettison an element of the burningman plan for this year, due to time constraints.

No, I'm still forging ahead on several fronts, still adding things to the list. I am wondering why as an individual my preparations include options for all three kinds of bear, Papa, Momma, and Baby. When I have too many things to take to Burning Man, can I conclude that I have too many things? or do I just need a larger car?

The person below me is deciding to go with less stuff this year.

Not as basic as I would like, but being the mother ship for a theme camp limits my preferences to the "needs" of others. I could live all week on canned food warmed in the sun. But, alas there are some folks in the world that believe food is something more than shit with benefits.

TPBM is starting to wonder if many things on "the list" are overkill.

Indeed, with my number one lieutenant being a bit negative this year about how much effort the camp takes, he has me questioning if we aren't trying to do too much. I love our camp and it's always come together, but with him after me to trim this and that from the camp, it's making me really question if we can pull it all off this year. Fewer strong members and a new fun offering, on top of revamping the rest of our stuff, much of which has now sat for two years... sigh... It's seeming a bit daunting at the moment. Maybe some of it is overkill. Fuck it. We're doing it anyway!

TPBM is having some major anxiety about getting it all done in time.
A plan is what you vary from.

Destiny Lounge 3D will be at Bradbury and 3:15 this year as a part of the 404: Village Not Found group of camps! Come see us!

I don't believe it is major anxiety so much as overwhelming. We are working on a sort of Retrofrolic here at home, where the "facility" just became available the first of this month. More of establishing priorities. We've decided the theme camp has priority right now and do not intend to open the "facility" until October. Hang in there BBD,,, I don't think we ever "get it all done",,,,, it's just a matter of knowing when to stop working and start having fun!

TPBM plans to participate on the playa in a way never tried before this year.

Hell no! I'm already working a 4 day weekend as it is! :P Every other mofo weekend. And the one's I get off are only 3 days long. Bastards!

TPBM hopes they too will win the lottery and leave all of this wonderful working life behind.

Ha, I wish I had a musical talent ... I wonder if a deep admiration for music counts - I see at least a couple of bands a week.

TPBM is wondering how they will get through Monday.

Yep!
Or some sorta prescription medicine. With side affects that are way worse than the symptom it is curing.

TPBM also hates that in the 'new' eplaya when you click on a link it opens in the same tab or window, instead of opening in a new tab or window.

Definitely an annoyance. Not as bad as the "eternal edit" in my book, but still annoying.

TPBM plans on doing something on the playa this year completely and utterly out side their comfort zone.

"odd" and "strange" are unique to an individual's personal experience. I crawled 50 feet into a 2' culvert to pull a dead beaver out of it to unplug the flow of water,,,, is that odd? or just strange?

O yeah! The Burner dreams and Nightmares have started!
Last weeks nightmare- I put one of the virgins in charge of loading up the water.... The 7gallon jugs got loaded....empty
Not really that big of a deal since we fill up in Gerlach, but in my nightmare it was scary.
And I must be doing some heavy planning while asleep, because I find I keep waking up grabbing my coffee, cig, and cell phone and start texting camp mates shit we've over looked or forget for a while.

TPBM, has had to tell their friends to stop giving them 'the countdown' because every time it freaks them out!
