Buddhist Ghouls

Post by Bin Noddin » Mon Feb 12, 2007 6:22 pm

Save the earth! It's the only planet with chocolate and wine.
YES!!

I thought of starting another thread, but this is the Bar, right? We can and do (and sometimes shouldn't) talk about anything, right?
A few nights ago Mrs B and I were having dinner (Italian) and she started to wonder - what happens to breast implants after death? (rest in peace, Anna Nicole) She started to paint a word-picture of bodily decay, and, finally, two plastic blobs resting amidst the scattered rib-bones and remnants of flesh. Would they survive the centuries for some archeologist to dig up?

Now, she is from Thailand and there is a Thai Buddhist practice (maybe it is a more general one) called "contemplation of corpses". If you find yourself too much attracted to someone's physical beauty, you are supposed to look at them closely and imagine their body decaying after death - stinking, liquefacting, eaten by worms. Supposed to keep you focused on a higher plane.

Won't you join us at the dinner table? Dessert is about to be served.

Actually, at least some of the breast implants are recycled-- or, more accurately, reused. The more expense, the more likely to be taken out and re-inserted in someone else. (Or, at least, those huge, oversized ones.)

Or, so I have been told.

Hey, I have a tendancy to do that naturally! Does this mean I missed my calling as a Thai Buddhist?!? (I always have felt I was born in the wrong country, but never guessed THAILAND to be where I should have been born!)

Don't mind if I do! (MMMMmmmm! Please pass me a spoon!) :P

Dig in - there's plenty more. Hope this newly recognized calling helps with the job search. An ashram in Rhinelander or Fish Creek in need of an enlightened being?
You're right, this is delicious.

Mph, flub, gluck!

er, maybe I should stop licking the glass before I try to talk...

Don't know about Rhinelander, I've already more or less committed to moving to the Baraboo area (West Baraboo, actually), at the end of the month. Kinda hoping to get back to the Madison area. Maybe I will use the info for a story I am writing (or, at least, attempting to write. Got a bunch of not quiet connected scenes at the moment.)

Back in the day we used to drive up to Baraboo and Devil's Lake from the Chicago burbs when the drinking age was still 18 for 35 cent Old Styles. I couldn't drink $4 worth, even back then.

I would rather be caught with the woody than give the Thai Buddhist treatment to the eye candy.

Amaretto Coffee
1-2 shots amaretto
espresso or hot, strong coffee
lightly shaken or whipped cream

Build in a wine glass or coffee glass. Top with lightly shaken or whipped cream.
Serve with a straw or drink it with a cream moustache.

Add sugar to taste if the amaretto isn't sweet enough for you, sugar.

The funny things in life...are what make life so interesting....

...I havent had a Valentine in over eight years till i met Titwi...
Life is so GOOD!
Went to a couple stores yesturday to find the perfect gift, I found the neatest Ring. I thought well I dont know his ring size yet so I picked the middle size , figured if it didnt fit his ring finger he could wear it as a pinky ring.
Well I couldnt have planned it better the ring fit his ring finger perfect and now we know his ring size for the wedding rings! WEEEEE!!!

I came home yesturday to A beautiful long stem rose and a awesome box with a gorgeous jewelry set...This morning I woke up to another Long stem rose, and 2 jewelry boxed sets!
Ahhhh, life is indeed better when you have someone to share it with!

Titwi...I love you!
