Hey kids, I finally got home at 2 AM. I have a ton of photos, but am still on my first cup and not "with-it" yet. I will probably post a link to my FB folder. Ygmir, I have to thank you a thousand times for the place and the hospitality. It was stellar. The food was out of this world, I ate and then ate some more. The contributing chefs were serving the best. A 6,000 mile round trip for me, I will gladly do it again. A lot of laughs, and great company. I am still stinging from the sunburn. Recompression is going to be a slow one here. Thanks again to everyone, I had a wonderful time. Thank you, thank you, and thank you.

Oh, and that road up there? That is not a road. That is simply motorized rock climbing....for miles. The rental car will NEVER be the same. TeeHee......

Great pics Geo!! thanks! for reference ,that pork roast was 27 lbs. and cooked for 10 hours, oak smoke. Everyone made such good food! OMD!!! Raspberry jam........yes. And Marty's poofer!! I bet the campers "below"wondered WTF?
Well, great friends, great memories (and mammaries).
I'll try to fix the road for next year..if I can get permission from the USFS.

Ya. Mostly poor footage. Good excuses though. I haven't flown in several months, battery and compass issues.

Great pics, and amazing video, Just_Joe! Mgb327, if you really want to see a bad road, you should have come up the way we did. Holy moly! It turned out that we picked up a slow leak and our tire was flat when we came down to load up. At first we freaked out because there wasn't a spare tire, but as it turned out the rental car had some whiz-bang compressor with built-in fix-a-flat system. After 15 minutes or so of fiddling with that, we were back up and running. We had to take it easy on the highway, since the gooey stuff says to keep it under 50mph, but we did alright. Taking the regular way home (the same way you all came up), MAN THAT WAS EASY! Pani and I laughed and laughed and laughed, compared to the route we took up (courtesy the vehicle's GPS) it was a cake walk.

All of it was worth it though, I just wish we could have gotten there sooner! Good weather, great people and great times.

Whew!! Home again... left Elorrum's at some point before noon today, and am now safe and relatively sound in my comfy home. (Got here at midnight-thirty.) Long trip!!

It was so good to see everyone at the Hof. I feel re-charged. Ready to pack for TTITD and head back north. I should'a just stayed!
