In Los Angeles stink bugs are black. Somebody come on here and identify those little darlings.

Katydids are vertical, not flat. There are green stink bugs in the West, different species than the black ones. The flying thingys may be doodlebugs. ????

I thought doodle bugs were those little armored looking black bugs that rolled into balls when threatened.

My "OFF" probably won't have much effect on these suckers...

If they don't sting or bite it will be easier to deal with the annoyance...but fuck, they fly too?...crapsack.

word has it a couple varieties bite, all crawl, some fly, and bugs spray does not seem to work.

Just looking up bugs. They look like stinkbugs. (Although I couldn't find any solid green colored). They don't bite. If they will eat mosquitos then I welcome them. Ha! There goes another 10,000 pussys that won't attend next year. Bugpokolipse 2015.

Those bugs look like the bugs that took over my garden last year, just a different color. They don't present many problems to people, but they do like tomatoes.

Did your tomatoes have a cat face on them? The exterminator site says that the stink bugs feed on fruit. Then the fruit continues to grow but often presents resembling the face of a cat on it. I wanna see.

Not to my knowledge. They would swarm all over tomatoes though and eventually would break into them or something along the lines of eating the ripe ones. I think they just like hanging out on them during the day either way. It seems like every year there is a different infestation. The previous year wasps were everywhere. This year its frogs after all the rain we got.

On a side note, all the rain Texas got in May drowned the garden completely. Even my rosemary died. I only have basil growing that is harvestable at the moment.

I'm confused... they aren't mosquitos but instead stink bugs? And they fly? Does anyone know what exactly these are? I'd like to know research them to find out if they bite because I highly doubt your average bug repellant will work? If they just fly around then whatever, that's doable.
