What a great combination of artists. A lady posted her psy trance mix on tribe today. So far pretty good:

A little classic South'rn fried Rock... Lynyrd Skynyrd "Pronounced...", Tuesday's gone, the *other* cut...

Cranked just far enough to shake these concrete walls of my office...

Seems... fitting! >giggles<

Well, I woke up with this going through my head. I guess it was written by my subconcious. I'm not certain if it is any good or not:

In this airless atmosphere
our hopes and dreams soon disappear
And those among us who bear the cross
are burdened with an albatross
Of mistaking our humanity
for a costly luxury

In our culture run amok
those who don't fit are out of luck
There is a Triple God
promoted by our demagods
"Before Time, Money and Power
Our Christ say to cower"

In this endless game
all our hopes and dreams should be the same
Tomorrow is not enough time
for pausing to think is a crime
To question why in Chirst's name
we are ordered to punish the lame

In the name of efficiency
compassion is too costly
Driven out and away
will be those who may disobey
"Self reliance is now king
only depend on us is now the thing"

In this airless atmospher
our hopes and dreams soon disappear
And those among us are now all lost
and are now the ones bearing the cost
Of not taking seriously
the danger of losing humanity
"Nothing is withheld from us which we have conceived to do.
Do things that have never been done."

Thanks. I might add to it or modify it some later. Occassionally odd things like that pop up in my mind when I am sleeping, and I have been meaning to start writing them down again.

A radio interview with the author of a book entitled "River of Lost Footsteps", which is a history of Burma. I have no idea what the author's name is or how to spell his name (Thot Mint Yu? They just said his name and it sounds something like that.)

Ah, the interview just ended. It was very intertesting.

The news on public radio.
More young guys from Wisconsin dead overseas.

Maybe I should quit humanity and join the ducks-- then at least I could afford to go south for the winter!

The Bends is the only Radiohead album that's worth a squirrel fart. It's amazing that the same band is responsible for Amnesiac.
