Hey Kvon! No, I don't think we have met, but we may meet in the future. I am still trying to figure out whether your project is real science or a wonderful big joke?
Regardless, Merry Christmas to you also!

crimeny!! I didn't see Kvon had popped in.
Elliot: do you remember they started in a thread with Jellyfish, related to Ein Hammer?
then broke off into a thread of their own, I believe Jelly asked because they were plugging his up.
I know more than me offered and helped, as far as soil chemistry and geologic information, back then.
I recall on perimeter, seeing what may have passed for a well tamped "scar" from burying the "pipe" they talked about.
but, I wasn't there, so am not sure.
I think Jellyfish was more involved in logistics.
anyway,
Hi Kvon, and happy Jule, to you!!

No, I don't remember, even though I even see my name mentioned in one of those lengthy old threads. So many fun projects, they become a pleasant blur after a couple of years! Was it real science or was it art? I'm guessing art, since it does not seem realistic as real science. But then, the electric light bulb did not seem realistic either, at one time.

well, the way they explained it, it seems "possible", and I did see a couple of the LED flashing light thingies.Elliot wrote:![]()

Others here chimed in thinking it workable.
There was a fair amount of detail in some of those posts.
Again, I think Jellyfish had more inside knowledge and such.

Greetings, Kvon! What a grande thing it is to see your post here a couple of years after Ein Hammer and your power project. As for me I have been barely lurking here (hardly logging in), sorting out my sock drawer and laying a low as your underground turbines. Please let myself and others know what you are up to. All the best to you and Burners everywhere!kvon wrote:Hallo and welcome to all my friends!

Hallo to Elorrum, and to Gyre.
I am remembering Elliot from back then, but sorry I don't think we meet.
and yes friend Ygmir. You helping us was of much benefit, I am only wishing we could have done more.
Yes, our team is mostly together again. And we do now begin the search for financial.
I go to Lichtenstein on tomorrow for celebration and to meet with hopful funders.
we now have former Soviet engineer perhaps to join team. Mentor is so very hopeful.
greetings of season to all here.
I and we hope to return to your playa one day.

Thanks Grai, that's the best cargo of all. Perfect for today.
I've got potatoes in the oven, I always have a lot to do Christmas morning. I think one year I might try the kind of morning where stuff is all done, and you just sort of slide into the day. HA! My nephew likes potatoes au gratin, and I don't have the nerve after many years to tell him that I don't really have a recipe. Each year a little different, and he always digs in. This year, I used a little smokey flavor, caramelized onions, and Swiss cheese. Now it's time to wrap the presents, and make the final decisions of who gets what. My sister loves her Christmas jig saw puzzle. I did not get the jigsaw puzzle gene. This year I got one with lots of lines, so maybe I'll be able to place a few pieces, it's a nice time sitting around a card table, drinking coffee, and talking.
Merry Christmas my friends.

Morning, Grai, Elorrum, FJ, BVB and YG. May get in a game of mixed doubles with my wife and a couple of friends this AM before the rain and then a walk in the rain in Muir Woods. Going to cook up some Hungarian goulash this afternoon and get stuff ready for the wonderful invasion of some of my kids and grand kids tomorrow. Whoops, it just started to rain, so shelve the tennis for today.

Re: The Bar, Volume #4
Ah, good (late) morning and happy birthday to me! Apparently my birthday makes me a pagan god, so perhaps I ought to conquer the World or something now. Or at least ride around with a team of goats and make thunder.
Had Christmas dinner last night at a neighbor's house -- on Christmas Eve, Scandinavian style, since they are of Scandinavian heritage also. Lots of "traditional Scandinavian" foods that I refused to eat already as a child, but plenty of California wine to wash it down with.
Kidding aside, even the cloud of organized religion has a silver lining, and that is the refrain of Peace On Earth. May it one day be so.
