Rent the bike rack

Post by TristanX » Sun Jun 10, 2007 11:00 pm

If you rent an RV, the RV rental place should have bike racks for you to rent from. Last year (2006) I rented an RV and I paid them I think $40 to rent the bike rack? Was worth it because the bikes get very dirty and I didnt want them inside the RV on the way home. If you rent a minivan, I dont know where you can rent bike racks (sorry).

Buying a bike rack on Craigslist is probably cheaper than renting one.
Plus cleaning & cleaning fees are a bitch. They will never be happy.

I did have to find a cable lock that would go through the bumper & interlock with the other bike locks - but those are usefull once on the playa anyway. The lock is really for the overnight stay in Reno.

The python lock by master has a six foot cable and you can get up to twenty feet or so.

It would be a shame if I had to resort to self-deception to preserve my faith in objective reality.
