Yeah it's definitely flawed in that way. It's a fact that we cannot ALL run on ethanol anyway. So it's a temporary, partial solution to the greater problem. And, realistically, while the burning of fossil fuels is not good for the environment, the real culprit is you and I; the consumers. In addition to finding alternate methods of power generation we need to reduce our consumption. That doesn't simply mean turning off the lights you arent using and driving a hybrid car; it means not buying so many luxuries in life (consumer manufacturing being the highest producer of carbon emissions), choosing to work closer to home (or work at home if possible), and fixing things instead of buying new things (manufacturers partially to blame for this by not supplying parts).

I don't claim to be the shining example of this philosophy but I am trying to do better. I am part of the problem and I know it well. It plagues me at times. I believe that what it comes down to is a shift of the entire public mindset before anything will actually change. I could be the most environmentally-friendly person in the world but if no one else is doing their part, it's futile.

Ok, I am done rambling. Now I am high and probably not even making sense anymore.

I moved to my youngest girls home.. The kids want to keep an eye on me..

She wants me to cook "outside the box" so she will learn to eat right.. This has been fun for me.. Cooking from scrach is easy fast and cost less.. With none of the crap crude and coruption that is found in the box/can.. We don't eatdead cow @ this house..

There is a new word at this house..NO NU..

There will been a realy big garage sale the 1st of March.. We do not need all this stuff

I have already built two waist hi gardens and have seed..

there's more coming, like a steam engine to recharge batteries and heat bath water..

You can read up on Hydro cars here..

http://waterpoweredcar.com/

The Magnet motors can be studied up here..

http://freeenergynews.com/Directory/Mag ... index.html

The Magnet site also has some stuff about other alt. fuels.

The last video shows a motor powering an alternator that not only powers the motor but has juice to spare.

Peswiki is good to read too..

Stirling has problems not worked out in hp range i need 10-20hp.. Waste heat would heat water for home use.. there's about 15 big trees that most be remove over the next few years.. lots of fuel..

Already have some parts to save gray water for flushing and plant watering.. Lots of water in the fish pond if we lose water.. use the steam heat to distill it for drinking/cooking water

Looking a designs for a compost toilet in the old boat house.. just in case it's needed one day.. there is plenty of cat and dog poo to keep it alive until then..
