Cheers for the vid and the reply.

I had a little think about it and decided maybe its not best that we "joined" a camp as such because our my first time. I think that way i can go and experience everything i want and contribute all over the place, but im defiantly gonna come crash your camp with me skates, i could just ruck up and teach people to skate anyways :P

Can't believe its less than 3 weeks until i get on the plane, its so exciting. We are stocked up on pimms and good ole English tea now and are ready to rock n roll.

Just a thought though, will we need to bring cups to serve our tea, or will peeps all have their own metal cups? Im leaning towards no disposable cups, less waste?

bring a few cups...paper we can burn..either way, we'll be there all week. Only roller derby scrimmage planned so far, is thursday about 6pm. theve challenged a couple groups out there, but no answers yet. Cant wait to see you out there! The playa dust will fuck up your bearings, but if thats not a problem, bring your skates. We will be on the Wheel at 2:15, just off center camp...just east of center camp, on the esplenade..I think..

Duct tape round the wheel face and greased rather than thin lube will help save your bearings Mark!

On the other hand, youse Americans get skate stuff for half the price we do here so.... new bearings!! Wheeeee!

I might try and pick up some offroad wheels for my longboard and have a skate around BM, w00t!

Man I've been wanting to see some roller derby for at least a year now, it's gonna be epicsauce!

I know how to make cups out of a random piece of paper, we could do that and then burrn everything!
Here we come America! Are you ready? We're not!

Have a good trip!
Try not to explode before you get to the playa.

And don't giggle in customs.

Any last minute advice? TomServo - your real name Tom? I have a bottle of Pimms with your name on it on its way to say thank you for your help and advice. Will drop it round to the rollar derby bar at some point and say hallo. Maybe ill have a little skate and you can give me the BM induction.
