Burning Man is my home
First of all , I agree on most of your points. We should not depend on drugs ,alcohol to connect with others. I never do. I never do drugs or drink either. Certainly singles out my options. Should we check our egos? Certainly we should. That could be even more complicated when you're on drugs or alcohol.
You seem to place a lot of emphasis on finding people you connect to. Well don't force it! Either you do or you don't. If you don't(and it sounds like you haven't found a whole lot that you do) then move on. But you shouldn't be telling others that they don't connect with others. I go out with an open mind and maybe there will be a group that I connect with and maybe not. That's the process of finding yourself, finding who you are.
If you don't like booze or drugs, just tell them. They offered me a coconut drink. It's the act of offering that counts, not the material .
Yes, you are right. They are the same people you are interacting with every day just like at home. What did you think was going to happen? Change into an enlightened being after one week in the desert? But this is the one chance I get to see a different side of those people. When was it, in your default world , has a whole city of 40,000+ gotten together in a gift economy and cleaned up after themselves without a trace?
I'm sorry you didn't enjoy the experience but for me, Buerning Man will always be my home and I will return to it any chance I get.

Hence your assholish behavior of driving your truck along the crowded Esplanade and yelling your sophomoric, fratboy bullshit towards the women who chose to go topless.I did do yoga and some healing, but still in my monkey mind, find in challenging to focus on my own healing with all these hotties walking around in dental floss --
Desert dogs drink deep.

Hey fucking newbies!! Light'en up!
I wish at least the newbies would wear lights at night as recommended in all the guides. I saw so many darkies out there (or didn't see, I can't tell) on the playa this time around to be very concerned. Of oourse my first year I didn't have enough illuminated and paid the price (Ouch!) And was handed a glow stick by some nice person who also cursing me out, appropriately I'll add.
Yoga is optional at BM. If you are extremely enlightend maybe can save on el-wire and glowsticks.

The new pose is "Playa Dust Deep Breathing Pretzel"
You know, there's nothing wrong with yoga in and of itself.
It's like booze, it's not what it is, it's what you do with it. :nod

JackMack, correct me if im wrong, but in a previous post you stated you didnt even attend this year, so, tell me, how the fuck do YOU know?
you whine about something you didnt even experience...
or is that what you're here for, to make disparaging comments about the man....most of your posts are pretty much the same...burningman sucks, the sound camps suck, the vibe sucks, whatever...
i smell a rat.
i think YOU suck. and i'm calling you out on it....
present credentials bitch, and then we'll decide if you have any right to make any "suggestions".

That's exactly what I was thinking as I read the original post! I would think that having the right attitude is essential for one who is seeking healing. It takes a bit more existential effort you hippie POS!MozyBonz wrote:

After the ego has been dissolved, try reconstructing it as a piece of art. Use your ego as a tool for entertainment rather than viewing it as an evil slavemaster.
I bonded with so many wonderful people this year with the help of drugs, alcohol, food, toys, games, random conversation, dancing, finger painting, nipple sucking, costume design, camp reconstruction following dust storms, etc, etc........ DAMN! This shit gets better every year!!
Being surrounded by beautiful, scantly clad and/or nakid women adds so much to the overall awesomeness of the experience. Stop being so morally compulsive. Try shirtcocking down the Esplanade next year. It is a liberating and humbling experience that provides a special kind of healing that many are unable to find through yoga. It might even get you laid.
Burning Man sucks. Don't go.
You don't need to be stupid to be smart
