My facebook account and my twitter account and my company blog are all linked together...so, I only have to post on one and it gets posted on all the others. Though I'm not a hugh poster on any of them.

Though I heard that for the younger (under 25) generation, facebook has replaced email. According to a recent survey, they consider email as something they would only use to 'like send a thank you note to someone's mother' or something.

Hmmm....I'm still of the generation that hand-writes thank you notes, licks them closed and puts a stamp on them. :(

Ok...let me put on my tinfoil hat and get inside a Faraday cage...there...now what about the rumor that the CIA is behind Facebook? Has anyone else heard of it, and do you put much stock in said rumor? My checks into it have been inconclusive at best. That rumor along with their privacy policies is why I deleted my account. Maybe it's time to go back...but I'm still not too comfy with the idea though...comments?

You know something, the CIA/NSA and 16 other agencies always monitor everything. Like it or not.
2. everyone should be aware of what they are doing anyway on the internet. Always cracks me up when some perv gets popped by the cops.

and 3. if you are doing Business on the web be-it facebook or other wise, who really gives a rats ass who is monitoring, in fact, I hope as many as possible are watching what I do cause my shit is pretty darn impressive.

/soapbox: Web 2.0 stuff poses a conflict for me. Part of me likes the openness...but part of me is also concerned about the privacy aspects. Two examples illustrate this: Openness...today I got a tweet as I was walking out of the Post Office...turns out a construction crane collapsed at the Denver Federal Center and I was less than 1/4 mile from it...I was able to send some cell phone pics of it to Channel 7. Being part of stuff like that is interesting. Yet part of me is scared of picking up a Marci like stalker like the 3Playa has...it's a matter of finding balance. I don't want some creep coming to the door or something and they found me based off of tweets, profiles, or other Web 2.0 info. Or having a potential future employer grilling me because I slammed the Colorado legislators for their asinine, half assed rain barrel legislation. What to do, what to do? Has anyone else wrestled with these concerns, or am I over analyzing things?

Good point. That is what has me worried about DaBomb. She posts everywhere she goes.
