I just got two questions:

1) Does it have a creamy filling?

2) Can you pop wheelies?

i suggest everyone refer to any and all cupcake cars they see from now on at Burning Man by their new fully corporatized name.

"Oh cool! You have one of those $25,000 Neiman Marcusâ„¢ Christmas Book 2009 Cupcake Carsâ„¢! I heard it was #4 on the list between the $200,000 Algonquin Roundtable Experience and the $20,000 HALL Artisan Wine and Art Experience! I respect your rugged individuality."

I wonder exactly where the line will be drawn on DMV approval of a commercially built vehicle such as this?

Damn, I missed it...then I realized they keep snippits of the show online. They gave them a lot of air-time in two segments. You can view them here, if you care to. http://today.msnbc.msn.com/

Lord knows we need more whimsey in this world :) ...( I wish I could get one this Christmas...little boy dreams from the wish book.) :)

Here is a great clip with the cupcake cars from 2008---pre Neiman-Marcus hype. http://tv.boingboing.net/2008/03/28/cup ... ats-m.html

There have been lots of playa vehicles that have made the big time over the years. As an art car driver, I always plan on at least a half hour to fill up with gas. In 2009, I was fortunate to have my car front and center on MSN's home page.

ABC did a spread on art cars not long after MSN, and used my car as the link on the front page. Many of these cars have been to BM over the years.

The other day it was extremely cold out and I ducked into the downtown Bellevue (that's the most upscale Seattle suburb) Neiman Marcus. Nothing in there was less than $1000. The place was hoity-toity yuppie hell. It's amazing to think there's enough people that buy purses for four-figures to keep that place in business. But then again, the profit margin in there has to be quite hefty... as evidenced by the $25k price tag on the goddamm cupcakes.
