Thanks! Two miles is an easy walk.

So, no I do not need a bike!

I actually got an email answer this very day from Sacred Flame, who says yeah it's about a mile from The Man to the fence.

No, you do not "need" a bike, but having one on the playa is mighty pleasant.

MyDearFriend, there are a lot of bikes around our camp, but believe me, it's best to have one. Part of the advantages of being part of Us is that we can help you with those sorts of things. The art truck is great to see tha playa, but honestly, a bike should be a must. I bring one. Well, actually I bring several. Reconsider, or PM me. Hay, who loves ya?

A couple of years ago it was bigger. If you imagine a horseshoe shape, with the tips being 10 and 2 oclock respectively, from 10 directly to 2 it was a mile. A half a mile to the man from the portals on esplanade,,,,shorter now or at least last year it was. The perimeter I was told, and feel pretty certain, was around 7 miles. But to see all there is to see.....you need a bike.
What ever the numbers are... its simply huge. I see pictures of things I have never seen in all my meanderings.
