One option -
Carry your stuff in good coolers.
Unpack and put your stuff in bags in reno and fill with ice.
Reverse to return.
Warning.
Airlines sometimes don't consider coolers luggage and don't care if destroyed.
May be worth choosing some with tough hinges and fasteners, or pack in boxes, strap down.
Be sure to get insulated lids.
I use this approach in my car too, but no barely prehensile baggage handlers.
Another foreign solo first-time burner needing some advice!
styrofoam coolers are a "things not to bring" in the new survival guide. "They don't hold up and break into a million bits." I think that if you carefully sealed the whole cooler, lid and box wrapped separately, in garbage bags, perhaps it would be contained. Little styrofoam bits are nightmare moop.

Thanks.
I can't be sure unless I find my receipt.
They are well known in reno and market to burners.
I vacuumed before I went and got the $10 special.
Decent job, even for that.
The Melting Pot may have been where I heard of them.
Everyone knew who they were.
