A friend of mine used to be in the British Army medical attache and she got access to some really nice gore tex fleece lined coats with the British army camo. We were on site at Stonehenge a couple of years ago and she was the post-excavation bones specialist, and as she is teeny and had to sit around for hours on cold windy days studying bones - she absolutely reccommended them

Go Tigers!
Go Tigers!
Sounds good.
Let me know if you hear where to get them.
I tried out a gore lined 100 fleece vest once.
Odd for something so thin to stop the wind.
Felt very counter-intuitive.
Feathered friends has a nylon coated to resist wind.
It's in between goretex and open weave, and has fewer drawbacks.
Much lower cost too.
No crinkling either.
