Sounds like a fun date. I was there in 75~76, but I was only 18 and usually stayed behind to babysit while the others went out. I lived in Project Artaud's Torque Motel wing if that counts for anything.

I used to wear elaborate costumes and ride the cable cars down to the Wharf. I had my picture taken a lot, and while I never asked for money, people gave it to me all the time. I looked a lot younger than 18, and the women especially felt sorry for me, thinking I was living on the streets. Well, kinda true, as I was living on the kindness of new friends and food stamps (hippie! hippie!)
Had I been into turning tricks or adult films, I'd have made money hand over ... fist. Even tiny floppy boobies were acceptable then, as long as they were young and cute.

Charlie Airwaves could have made me a star. (dang, watch him still be alive and kicking and reading this damn board)

Never been to San Fran until my trip back from BM last year, the one day was a total bust due to my vehicle being broken into. I did spend some time in the West Village in the early 70's (albeit mostly to pick up substances for friends and friends of friends).
