Good morning Komrades,

I'll be a first time burner this year (provided I can get a ticket in the $240 lottery). I sent a couple emails out to Killbuck, starting I think way back in September. He informed me that he had to go underground until the whole Ghadafi thing blew over. Well, I haven't given up in trying to get a spot in your camp yet. Some guidance would be greatly appreciated as I try and organize this trip for me and a few of my friends.

I read through your site and I hope you will find me worthy of wearing the oven mitt. I am a 29yr old ( 30 on the 28th of August) airforce veteran, separated in 08. I was trained in cpr, first aide, basic life support and I completed combat lifesaver training for certification. While this will be my first burn I am no stranger to the desert, the effects of dehydration or hard work. Currently I am a mechanical engineering student at SMU and I am a notorious contraptionist. My 2011 projects included a waterproof-floating-bluetooth-stereo-cooler and a very powerful portable CO2 powered t-shirt gun. Currently I am working on an electric powered "dirtsurfer" that I intend to use as my primary method of transport on the playa. Also, I used to date a Russian.

I have a solid group of 3 friends that are planning on joining me on this adventure. All are very capable, helpful and motivated. If there are openings for virgin burners in your ranks please keep us in mind. At the least I would appreciate some guidance in possibly joining another camp.
