Burning man Nevada is my regional, but if I could go to another it would be Element 11 in Utah most likely....
I have a spouse that doesnt (and cannot due to health conditions) burn. Making him skimp on vacation is just not cool to do every year, he has been really generous, though!!
There is an event I have been doing for 13 years called High Sierra Music Festival. Sounds like any other festival by name, but ask anyone who attends (10,000 peeps) it is very different than the others. It has more of a strong rooted community feel, more actual BMan ethos than other fests. We might not have the art that Symbiosis has, but we have more diversity in age and definitely in music. Its definitely a destination. Sure its not no Burning Man, but its musically amazing and interactive. I go early and help with the ambiance. Its a week long stint like Bman. So I gotta choose one or the other in 2014. It will probably be the first HSMF I will miss. Sad to miss it but missing Burning Man hurts, too. Not ready to skip my first HSMF next summer. Haaaa. There are other events out there where people treat each other kindly and appreciate sharing and connecting and expression. It's a good region out here by Tahoe, I think I am super lucky and should not fret missing the Burn next year. We have an amazing Burnal Equinox in this town, too. Still there is nothing AS diverse and expansive as actual burning man in America. I tried to say that this year was my last one, but who the fugg am I kidding??? hahahahahahaa See you in 2014!!
