Seeking Piano Tuner

After a quick search it appears at least 3 ePlayans have bought tuning equipment to the playa and offered their services in the last 2 years:

Some have facebook/email info in their profiles and at least one has posted in the last two days.

I know it would be preferable to have someone respond via this thread but they may not be aware of it's existence.

Sure, I'd be happy to swing by and give her a shot - tuned for Ashram Galatica several years, BDC one year, Champagne Camp, Ill Ville, etc...

I do need ~30 mins of quiet time - hard to do anything well with a party going on.

It won't be a concert-quality tuning, but I can definitely bring a piano into the realm of playability -- depends on how well the piano will hold the tune and how far out it is.

Disclaimer: There was one piano @ Kantina Apokiliptika in 2010 that was so far gone it was charming. We decided not to attempt it - was great the way it was.

That was mine, the Willard.

I brought two pianos that year. The other I had on a cart and moved it around the city. It got rained on right after arriving. Then it fell off the cart. By Thursday it was admittedly "a bit" out of tune. I also had to keep working on the action -- a bunch of steel pivot pins kept slipping out of their wood parts.

Both were subsequently interred at the East Lake Landfill.

I have one left, a compact, or whatever they call it -- action below keys. Badly out of tune, but Oscillator said the action felt good.

Oh... and a white Baby Grand that is almost new. But I have never set it up. I can check it out if we find a Worthy Project for it. There is not even dust in it, and I did not see any external damage. Lid and one leg missing. El Cheapo Korean brand.

That's correct, but once when I used that term somebody thought I meant an antique harpsichord of the horizontal kind, so I now avoid saying spinet. This is an upright piano, but lower and lighter that traditional uprights.

I run across a player piano that took 5 men to load on a truck.. They even came and asked me to steady it.. That would make six men.. The player was air driven.. All the tubes were lead.. I told the insurance Co. 40 plus hours to clean it and extra to repair the finish.. The adjuster payed the customer off and scraped it..The building sub contractor bought it as scrap and payed me almost 80 hours to restore it. I had them by the short and curly's.. It had a sour milk ebbeny finish..
I was the only person in the northwest that could duplicate that finish..
