I'm all over it then. What a fucking awesome place and awesome idea. I've hiked most of the High Desert of SE Oregon. Alvord, Trout Creek, Owyhees, Pueblo and Steens and surrounding areas. I took my survival training in and around the Steens.

Don't believe everything you think.
