+100 ^^

The week or two after the burn is the only time I'm a little embarrassed to have BRC/BM stickers on my car...
Oh my god, it's HUGE!

This was my second burn. I realize it was very windy and hard to hold things down, but I saw much more moop on the playa and other places this year than last year. At first I would pick it up as I saw it, then realized I would be spending all my time filling a bag with moop. So sadly I would leave some lying as I rode through.
one day I noticed a large amount of feathers blowing by. Then shortly, I saw 5 or 6 people wearing almost identical feather head dresses matching the feathers I had been seeing.
Tell me again why the feather ban was lifted?

It was lifted because the BORG realized that there are some high-quality feather accessories that do not MOOP. Based on a lot of people's poor choices in headgear, it looks like the BORG forgot to attach the memo about inappropriate cultural appropriation...

I agree about seeing more MOOP this year, I saw a lot of sequins this year, as well as pieces of astroturf. 447 was terrible on the way out too.

It really needs to be a part of peoples prep to de-MOOP packaging, plan in a way that eliminates as much potential MOOP as possible (similar to the approach to grey-water, where instead of figuring out how to deal with loads of grey water, you focus on making minimal grey water in the first place), and recognize that things will somehow not fit as nicely on the way out as they did when you packed them, thus leaving ample room for extra trash bags on the way out.

I wonder how the MOOP map will look this year.

We didn't bring a rake, so we spent time kicking the dunes which had accumulated under the trailer and truck for a while. MOOP bombs. Lots of cheap blue tarp shreds. We don't have any blue tarps.

Largest piece of MOOP was on of the red noses. Those suckers can really get moving in the wind.

We never got those. I figured the program was shut down or something so it all came home with us.
Shouldn't really be necessary as they added that info to the Survival Guide - page 19.
Savannah: I don't know what it is, but no thread here escapes alive. You'll get 1 or 2 real answers at minimum, occasionally 10 or 12, and then we flog it until it's unrecognizable and you can't get your deposit back.

Lots of bikes too this year--5 at the porta potties and 4 right in front of our camp. That was 9 within eye-shot. Can't recall ever seeing that many abandoned bikes visible right from our camp.

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me
