We are leaving the bar in good hands. Take care of it like it was your own.

I will see you lot in BRC tomorrow. The odyssey continues with a new personal record of driving 1300 miles in under 24 hours. I would not recommend it, and feel like a jerk.

After 24 hours on the playa so far, I can tell you that all the newbies who didn't heed the warnings of the old timers are in for a lot of hard lessons about dust and high winds!

Having a good time playing "spot the captain"! Last night, the boat was followed by .. something... then a cool lizard. Also I saw at least two broken-down MV's being pushed during the evening
Really beautiful use of neopixel (?) on vehicles out there.

Are there a lot of people who aren't lit up?

Re: The Bar 2015 Edition
That picture would have been me headed to DMV to get my night license.
There are unlit people but it seems to me there are more lit than there used to be.
I towed... something... from the playa bank to the Artery yesterday.
Yesterday I traded my boat to Dr. Helix for his cool scaled-down semi truck for a while. That was fun.
I'll have to find out where the camera is!
Having a great time! Tiahaar just stopped by. He was walking up the street and heard an air impact gun being used... then saw the boat parked at camp with me under it... that's where I am when I'm not out there cruising.
If you never built a mutant vehicle, I'll tell you right now it takes a lot of maintenance and support to keep shit working like magic out here!
And that's not to mention the upkeep on that red velour couch!!
BRC dust storms be damned, I will NOT be dirty!!!
Got myself an idea out here. I have a very large ice chest on the boat that generates a lot of melted water. It's clean water.
Well it turns out the drain plug has standard garden hose threads on it.
I have a 120-volt electric water pump and hoses that I use to transfer fresh water to the camper from the tanks on my trailer. It really blasts. I'm gonna bring it on board so I can spray the excess cooler water from a hose,at whoever wants to be cooled down.

Hey! It's Anything Can Happen Wednesday...
We're on Eplaya. Maybe it's time for a Meet and Greet?
Think about it; and I'll see ya in the bar for a Toast or two later tonight.
Love and Kisses, GadMatt

Re: The Bar 2015 Edition
I don't post often; but tonight I want to raise a glass to the eplayians that have kept this place going all year long...
I gotz a very large bottle of '57 Dom-pair-in-yawn and it's been on ice all day... Grab a glass. (If I was on the Playa I would be drunk-toastin'. So, here on the e-playa; I might as well wear my heart on my sleeve an try some drunk-postin'.)
"THANK YOU, FOR ALL YOU HAVE DONE TO KEEP THIS COMMUNITY TOGETHER!
YOU HAVE BROUGHT IT HOME, FOR ANOTHER YEAR."
And my world is a better place for it.
Let's all throw our heads back and howl at the sky. Tonight is the M&G for 2015!
Huge thanks to the Mods! The tons of hours that have you put into this site is an incredible gift and this is NOT a thankless job... Thank-you!
Thank you all.

Re: The Bar 2015 Edition
I just got home. I guess it's midburn now. The meet and greet was a really good one this year, lots of friendly folks who are new, or don't post much, and it was good they checked in. There are a lot of eplayans still to be met. Some absentees but that's part of the reason to go back next year, to see them then. I'm happy to see this bar is staying busy. GadMatt! party on!
*opens fridge, picks up glass, blows dust out of glass... frosty pago pago down the hatch.* oh Yeah, Fishy, good batch!
I can't shower until the car is emptied, otherwise, it will be a waste of time. Little break, and back to it. Unloading is going so much smoother than loading. A big smile can give me powers I don't usually have.

On our art car, I hooked up what had been the windshield washer pump to hoses that drew water in from 5-gallon jugs encircling the car, and the output to a series of garden misters running along the top of the platform.

Re: The Bar 2015 Edition
Got home on Friday after a rather exciting few days. Seems I had a heart attack sometime on Tuesday/Wednesday morning. Got my self down to the Medical station and was first met by an ER doc from UCSF. He quickly escorted me to the serious tent a few feet away and before I knew it I had 2 EKGs and was "advised" to get flown out to a Reno hospital. (I had the insurance) Amazing how quickly it all happened. Was stabilized after about 24 hours and finally released on Friday. My Son and daughter had driven up on Wednesday and they drove me home and my campmates broke my camp and packed my car so that another campmate who needed a ride to the bay area could drive it home for me. What a community!!!!! Was really bummed to miss the M&G and missed seeing so many of you. So, this my 9th burn, has turned out to be my last. I plan to stay active in Burner stuff, but just not be on the Playa. It has been a great run and I am so thankful to have met so many of you dear folks. So, keep on Burning and we'll all try to stay in touch and bring a little of the Burning Man ethos to the default world.
