True, my proof-reading skills weren't used when I copied and pasted that excerpt.

Also, punctuation goes inside quotation marks.

Though, not liking how someone pronounces a word is my personal taste, not a criticism.

Just like me thinking you sure are oppositional for no reason other than being cantankerous. Simply my opinion.

God bless America.

Rule for positioning of punctuation marks has changed over the years and is optional or situational.

And you know what they say about opinions. ;)

Shared a bottle of Jack Daniels with Merle Haggard.

That was in the late seventies after one of his shows at Lake Tahoe. That same weekend I drove my Jeep up the steps of Caesars Casino, or whatever it was called back then, to provide front door service for my wife. It was a wild weekend.

jk = just kidding

My friend does Pancho and Lefty for karaoke, just to piss people off (it is slow and long and not very interesting). Or Jolene. Because we love Dolly.

Even while in prison, Haggard ran a gambling and brewing racket from his cell. Merle attended three of Johnny Cash's concerts at San Quentin. Seeing Cash perform inspired Haggard to straighten up and pursue his singing. Several years later, at another Cash concert, Haggard came up to Johnny and told him "I certainly enjoyed your show at San Quentin." Cash said "Merle, I don't remember you bein' in that show." Merle Haggard said, "Johnny, I wasn't in that show, I was in the audience."

AND one of my favourite all-time songs:

Use punctuation marks inside of quotes if the quote is an entire sentence, but if you are quoting a phrase or a single word, then the punctuation marks go outside.

Assuming by punctuation marks, you're referring to periods.

I would go into detail, but my style guides are just out of arm's reach right now .

When using a question mark with an exclamation point, always put the question mark first. I just made that up.

Thank you for confirming that my use of punctuation was correct. :)

However, I would suggest using "that" between "confirming" and "my" in order to provide maximum clarity.

One thing more: I like shamisen and Irish music!

This has been the most interesting topic to read. I have learned so much about playa and eplaya friends.

Something you don't know about me?

Don't tell Risky or Goathead but I was a sniper - a long time ago and in the Canadian reserves. There's a trophy somewhere in this country with my name on it.

Woody Harrelson gave me a hug. Okay, that was just a few weeks ago so you might know about that one.

In between being a sniper and getting a hug from Woody - hmmm, there's a lot a girl should keep quiet about. :D

A long since outdated rifle: FNC1A1 firing 7.62mm ammunition

Well, I'm not sure what the Canadian forces are using now. This was 30 years ago and it was the NATO weapon of choice at the time.

I meant the 1 cm group, if I wasn't clear.

Even though official kills have been made at nearly 2500 metres now, and much farther in reality I hear, that is an impressive group with a 7.62.

(I always knew canadians were more dangerous than generally thought.
It's all that repressed rage from being polite.)
