Hello I'm from the Bay Area. This year was my first Burn - I was pretty terrified, to be honest. But then I got there and fell in love. Can't wait to go back next year.

Good Day All!
New burner here and planning on coming to the 2012 burn! Extremely excited about doing this, its been one roller coaster of a year and am looking to experience life to the fulliest and get to meet fellow burners and have a great time!
I've recently moved to the Denver, CO area and am looking to see if there are any other folks from the CO area! I will most likely be heading out Solo for my first Burning Man experience!
Nice to meet you all!

Welll I would like to start by saying Hello to all of the burners out there! <3 to you all!
I have been a part of the arizona music/rave/club/artist scene since 1996 and yes... I HAVE NEVER BEEN TO BURNING MAN! I have however been thowing events in the desert of AZ since about 1999, many underground with about 200+ people, in warehouses, clubs, back yards and stables for that matter... I am looking forward to 2012's BM becasue it will be my first one!
I have gone to Lightning in a Bottle and loved every min of it! And will be going to that as well in 2012.
There are many parts of the "Burner" culture that I resinate with and look forward to passing on to my children and through my experances with new freinds and old! I believe that we are a breed that is unlike any, yet like all! I am a proud individual that through my experances I have something to give back!
I look forward to communicating on this fourm and also being part of one of the largest ... or shall I say LARGEST families on this planet!
Thank you for being you! Namasté

Black Rock City is more a real city (though a groovy one) than a family, and this message board is more like the overall internet (AIIIEEE) than the playa itself, so if you can will yourself to suspend expectations, read everything you can get your paws on and keep that chipper, optimistic nature . . . you might have a fine time.

Hello everyone
My name is Sadhaka. It's a hard name to pronounce, so no worries if it throws you off. If we ever meet I'm more than happy to help you out
I was directed here by the San Diego Burning Man group on Facebook. I'm a BM virgin (I volunteered at Decom though) and I'm just involving myself in the community as much as possible. Like so many I'm also concerned that I will not be able to get a ticket for next year, but I believe whoever is there is exactly who need to be there. I look forward to chatting with all of you and hopefully meeting you in person someday! <3

Josh, there is no judging here on that kind of stuff. I hope you can make it to BRC in 2012. It looks like it's shaping up to be an amazing event. (not that anything is actually happening yet, but it seemed like the thing to say)
Sham....

Hello fellow Burners,
I've been viewing this site for some time and thought I would chime in. People know me as Jessica Rabbit or Tricktickler
you run with it. I am very lucky to live in the Battle Born state the home of BRC. It took many years to make it to the Playa, but when I did I found home and I could'nt think of being anywhere else. I am married for 20 yrs. and Wow! it just keeps getting better every year. We have been with a theme camp since our first burn and we're thinking about going in this year on our own. Go in when it opens instead of early, not knowing where to camp etc..etc... this will make us think out of the box and interact/ experience more with others.

Hi, I'm Sassy Britches. I live in Phoenix with my husband of 31 years and we finally made it to our first burn this year. We found home as we knew we would. There's no place like home, there's no place like home.

Hello,My name is Lance, I am from Houston, Texas, I have wanted to come to Burning Man since 1998, but have never been in a place in my life to do so. It seems as though the universe will provide for me this year and I will be in attendance in 2012. I cannot wait!

Hi everyone! My friends call me Deek. I live in Turkey but have lived at various points all over the world (USA, Europe, Middle East).
Total BM n00b. I just started opening my eyes to this sort of scene and really want to get involved in a like-minded community of free spirits.
I'm an excellent cook (went to culinary school for a little bit) and my artistic hobby is writing poetry and prose. I love music from the 60s and hanging out with friends in mother nature
Can't wait to meet all of you!

Hey everybody, welcome to eplaya!

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Hi Dani!
There are tons of Burners in the LA area. Go to the main Burning Man site, click Regionals in the small print at the top right, and narrow in on your area using the map. Add yourself to the mailing lists for your area, and perhaps the surrounding areas.
