I don't know if I should say.

I was a underwriter in 48 states for the number three Auto Insurance company in the country. now it's basically the same thing
for the 32nd one. So this will be the only time I ever ever ever say anything about Insurance around you guys. It's not the work I want to do.
That is why I quit the job before. I receved a call with a great offer for money. My Dance floors are slow and I have shut down my studio for an upgrade.

It just pays very well and I am very good at it. and I need lots of money for BM in 2006.

shit that was hard I never talk about that job to anyone. Insurance puts bad taste in peoples mouth. Including me!!

I have a lot of respect for people here so I though you needed a real answer not the run around I give every one that asks me that question.

But... But... But... Rrrr ye Happy?

I be a Uncivil Servant... not what I wanted to do when I was a kid... well, I *did* want to climb bridges when I was a kid (see, dreams *do* come true) but I wanted to do something far more creative, far more interesting...

I wanted to work in Television Broadcast Production. Really. That was my dream. Don't ask how I got *here*, but I love my job nonetheless.

Nor was it my fantasy job. What was that, asks ye?

>blush<

I wanted to create... motorcycles. Really. Not cookie-cutter buy the parts and slap them together, but from the ground up - motors, gearboxes, frames, etc... the ehole kit n kaboodle.

I *still* have some of my original conceptual drawings... not artwork, but architectural layouts and geometry schema for framework, etc. I even somewhere) have the engineering layouts for this massive 3.2 liter opposed twin (buildable to a 4.0). That would've worked. (And they call me a tractor woman! >>giggles<< If only thy knew...)

What happened? Reality happened. Life interviened. Had to get a real jobto hold up my end of the family mess. Had a daughter. So I stayed here.

Anyway... I am SO happy for you Mozy... puts a smile on my face!

BTW... My daddy worked Insurance for that company that used to be known for it's yellow diamond... They did him *no* favors towards the end, but the family did OK through and through.

Hugz 2 you,
(And a coffee wit Drambou...)

BB you are so sexy.. thanks

I have done tv also. I did a show called a day at the races. We did the calif fun bike drags...nitro burning harleys I was the producer cameraman editor for that one.
It's a very hard bizz to be in. But I love doing editing graphics and camera work. that is what the upgrade in the studio is about.
In 1992 we where racing a bike in super pro took Division seven for NHRA back when the bikes could race with the cars. later myfriend bought a fuel alterd called the mob. It was a world record holder before he got it. then he restored it and was racing it at Nostalgia races.

YA I love fire and loud cars. and no I will not be bringing any cameras to BM
from what I read there are plenty so no need for mine. I am a Participant not a spectator.

>grins< Ya had to ask!

First off - I work for the State - not the contractors building it, but the folks who own the thing. Actually, it's all the bridges on the bay (except the Golden Gate, but that's another story!!) but I'm HQ'd on the Bay Bridge.

So what do I do? Started off years ago as a site supervisor /lead on the Structural Steel crew - prolly the funnest job a girl scared of heights (not any more!!) could have, what with all them ironworker kinda guys around. The best part was learning how things were done 75 years ago when they built this thing so I could fix it when it broke. And climbing the bridge. THAT was fun!! (Still is!)

Went from there to Emergency Services, working the graveyard shift. Fun, as there wasn't a supervisor on at night, so I was "the boss". Ran the radios a lot, and dealt with drunks, pissed off people, and nutcase employees. Bouncced around a bit (was a tunnel washer statewide for a while) then ended up back here as a supervisor 5 or 6 years ago. Now instead of fixing the bridge, I get to go out after the people who want to jump off of it, wreck their cars on it, and blow it up. And deal with 85 or so employees. And try to keep the bosses off my... back. >grins<

SO... that's what I do.

bb sue

I've been fascinated with that bridge since I was a kid. I'd love to be able to see it up close like you have and not from the driver's seat of a car flying across it.

I'm glad I asked the question...your work sounds really interesting.

'Sup, Moz? Just winding down after a long day (phone co by day, wife's store in evening). It was interesting to read earlier today what you and BB Sue were saying. Life does go down some twisting lanes, but we can make it good no matter what. More of that peat smoke stuff?

I'll help you set them up. Looks like there's lots of company tonight. Maybe Zulegoona will post one of his Apokiliptic Kollege Katalogs. Doom!

Strange...mine had some momentary glitches too. I couldn't get the eplaya to load for a minute or two but other sites came right up.

I just viewed the Lenny Jones 2005 video's, and must say, it just wowwed me all over!!! I've had at least 8 shots of whiskey tonight, to numb some of the pain of my default worldly nonsense...Then I came in here, to find good cheer, and saw those video's----and now I feel SO much better!! Ya gotta just take a look for yourself then, huh!
