though it could be i'm merely manacled to the vastness of the web)

let's set the gore aside for a moment, and see how each might play out

shivs, shanked

a fashioned philo that penetrates into and alters previous course of individual philosophy

could take merely a second of interaction, the wake of which compounds the effect

can be highly individualized

manacle

generally emphatic of specified people/places/things

encourages a lessening of autonomy

compounds effectiveness more in likeness of parallelnicity within "the moment" rather than a series wrought through "time" (ie more manacles at use at any given time while encouraging greater numbers within simultaneity under a likely masked or hidden whim)

anyway... food for thought

personally, if i were an evolutionist, i'd say god prefers a shiv, while mundane self interest is looking to invest in manacles
