one polyp removed. But, they decided to take biopsies in my esophagus and stomach.......dang. so now, the waiting begins.......

I gotta get back on soft food first, no booze for a couple of days.

*heads to ROS*
I knew it! Everybody just wants a piece of you!

Take care and do as the doctor says. Love ya pal...
Turned 50 this year and during my checkup in January the Doc wanted to get me scheduled for all kinds of tests. I was like, NOPE! Got major plans this year, going to burningman, feeling great, didn't want anything worrying or changing my routine. Didn't even do the blood draw to make sure the blood pressure meds aint killing the liver.

My Doctor is pissed at me but hey, I feel great and am in the best shape I've been in for the last 20 years or so. I told him we could talk mid-September

Hey, Mr. Yggy!!! My PMs were acting up, but I think they work now. I sent you a very short one that was a test. Sorry to hear about your polyp, but the fucker's out now, so all should be well soon, yeah?

Yeah, sorry to hear about the polyp. And damn, I would have thought alcohol, being a liquid, was soft stuff.

Home for the weekend. Learning stuff like simple meditation.
But... also... a lab test has revealed that I am waaaayyy below the minimum on a hormone, so now I am getting treatment for that. This could very well be important, so now I have a big pile of brand new optimism. :D

Hi Elliot! Yay for optimism...I know what you are doing isn't easy, and admire your determination. Funny how sometimes a simple adjustment can make a world of difference.

Hooray, glad to see you back around these parts. And that test result sounds promising - good to know it's something there's a treatment for. Getting the balance right can be tricky sometimes, but can mean a whole lot.

Speaking of treatment, I suffer from a sometimes debilitating vodka deficiency, and it appears I need another treatment. :D

Testosterone. Very important for energy and general well-being. Could explain my debilitating fatigue.

I figured there was a Viagra joke here somewhere.
Turns out, testosterone regulates a great deal more than just mating. Which makes me wonder why none of my previous docs checked for this -- but that was then.
Now back to our regular, less clinical, programming. :D

((((Elliot)))) That hormone is also quite important for strong bones, so take it take it!!! 8)

(((((((((((Yggy)))))))))))) fingers crossed, and I will say that GI docs send thousands of snips of stuff for testing for every snip that even looks suspicious. So your odds are really good. And letting your esophagus heal before you pour booze through it is probably a good idea. 8) 8) 8)

Trilo please correct that vodka deficiency stat. You could be in grave danger.

Morning, (((MDF & Elliot))). Glad to hear the promising news. Tip my hat to you, Elliot. Look forward to seeing you on the Playal

Got a tennis game this morning and then will be making my "Boobles" (schwag) all over again since the pieces did not come out the way I wanted them. Happily, a few alternate prototypes look fine so I know what to do in the new batch. So it will be a very busy weekend.

Stay cool, YG, you're gonna be fine.

Enjoy the weekend kiddies

Yay Elliot!! on so many levels, your story and frankness is inspiring. Many of us men, tend to run away and or hide problems, and suffer along in silence. But it's not necessary, and to see support and love pouring your way, may well help others address issues, and see there is nothing "wrong" with illness, of any sort.

Yeah MDF, the doc was not worried about the polyp. He said his concern was why he took samples of esophagus and stomach. Ergo my nerves.
I did refuse his offer to "stretch" my throat......(ah, so much pun there, and such jokes, haha).
He did it last time, and, all I got was a sore throat for 2 weeks and no change. He said it's constricted from scarring.........but I explained that as much as I eat, it must be working fine, so, leave it alone. Seems he listened.

Got your message Littlebird. I sent a reply, so hope your PM is all working now. again, welcome back!

The way Doc's throw chemicals around I tend to "Consult my Physician" rather than just letting him do whatever he wants.

Now the question becomes.... That is... the doc said to place the trans-dermal hormone patch (similar to a nicotine patch for those quitting smoking) under my clothing such as on my hip. So... where do I put it when I go nekkid?

But you should probably ask your doctor in a really serious concerned way and nod your head solemnly as he awkwardly answers

Make that "she". My psychiatrist at the hospital is a lady. And I am very glad of that, since I generally prefer female doctors.

That said, I was informed to put the patches pretty much anywhere except the scrotum. I guess some patients have found that to be logical, but that is not how it works.
