It’s "Humidity" by a group called Heights of Abraham... from 1993. Very good downtempo electroncia. This CD was made previous to one I’ve already got by them. I didn’t even know it existed until a week ago or so. Nice easy, groovy stuff.Zulegoona wrote:What’s the CD ?

That will be the longest time, actually. And I’m sure it’ll be hard to part again. But that’s ok. We’ll deal with that when it gets here. Prior to that, she spent a week or so here, then we went down to Biloxi, and another week... so almost 4 weeks is the longest so far.Zulegoona wrote:Wow 2 months that will make it really hard when/if she leaves again. What’s the longest you’ve spent together?.......

I think she’s visiting her Dad and the computer is in the same room her kids are sleep in ,..... or we aren't exciting enough to hold her interest...
It will be interesting to hear ( if I ever do ) if 2 months terns out to be just right, 4 weeks to long or not nearly enough....
Your both great people and I Have to admit I love to see you both happy.

Thanks, Z... That means a lot. We are both very independent people, and yet don’t want to be too far apart. It’s interesting to see how we do with things like this... and interesting to see how we both grow as individuals and as a team as time goes by.Your both great people and I Have to admit I love to see you both happy.
And yeah... I'm betting on the "not exciting enough" when it comes to us and giggles.

Mozy gifted me with this one, actually. I like it too. And I gotta say, I like your avatar. It's somewhat comforting to me to always see it. Stablility in a way...
But feel free to change it too. Might be a good thing to shake it up a little bit.

Actually, I've always had an interest in you, black puss. Lately, I've not had an internet connection at home, part decision and part circumstancial. And yeah... I'm betting on the "not exciting enough" when it comes to us and giggles.
I've missed being here and missed the folks, and missed you too. I'll miss you all again when I go home tomorrow (been visiting my dad in Missouri this week during my girls' spring break).
I've got that generic steinlein black pussy cat on my wall in my livingroom/dining room, so I look at your name and think of you daily. Not to mention that lovely bauble you sent to me by sensei from burning man, which dangles over my head as I sleep each night, the spiral like a conch shell, in metal once molten, dangling from a green string.
I've got a local boyfriend, the beau from posts past (3playa and here some, too), if you ever read any of them I don't know. Not sure of... many things regarding... I talk to sensei on the phone often, and I think the world of him.
The beau is not my exhusband, of whom I've written; he is in state hospital in little rock right now (thank goodness).
There, jerry springer in a nutshell, minus the tits and thrown punches.
smooches,
giggles
Technical point:
Anyone in here? I need a last beer for the night...
and technical point from above post could confuse a newbie camper
So if your tent top is black it is going to be hotter during the day and colder at night
You want a light colored tent cooler during the day and will give up less heat at night
Real life examples would be desert nomad tents (light colored) and race car engines (cam covers and such painted flat black the best color to radiate heat to remove it from motor)
and Heat and light are different things but they are both forms of radiation
Some examples:
“nomad camps of two to three tents, whose white pointed roofs can be spotted way off in the distance in so many parts of the desert.”
“Dark materials absorb more heat from the sun--as anyone who has worn a black t-shirt on a sunny day knows. Black surfaces in the sun can become up to 70°F (40°C) hotter than the most reflective white surfaces. If those dark surfaces are roofs, some of the heat collected by the roof is transferred inside”.

Technical point: I think you have that backwards Chai white reflects heat and light and Black absorbs heat and light and radiates heat better than whiteChai Guy wrote:I think with the air flow it should be fine. It should also be noted that on the playa, you're better off with a darker roof that does not allow light into the interior of the structure, than a lighter roof which will allow light (and thus heat) to penetrate the interior and then be trapped inside.i don't care what's in between that black and the inside air, it will COOK ya!

I don't have it backwards. If you've ever been under a blue or white tarp/fabric in BRC you know it's hotter than an opaque fabric shade srtucture.
Think "Green House"
UV light is allowed to enter throught the light colored fabric and then bounce around inside the shade structure (again off the reflective top, from the inside). Any light that is "trapped" under the tarp, will turn to heat (notice how things are cooler when you're standing in a complete shadow?)

Well let me buy a beer first and we should move this over to the Bar construction in the meantime from your own sourceChai Guy wrote:I don't have it backwards. If you've ever been under a blue or white tarp/fabric in BRC you know it's hotter than an opaque fabric shade srtucture.

"The blue tarps are translucent, and result in greenhouses; the silver ones don’t let any light through and keep the people under them very comfortable.
".
Your own source is preferring siver(white) because it reflects more light and radiant heat then the Blue(black) one he just doesn't know it!
Really is simple science. Now you start adding in a translucent variable based on thickness, mesh, spectrum transmission etc that makes a big difference but you were talking color!
And your source is also confused about what is causing the heat but he is closer to reality,
Anyhow I got to go to bed lets figure it out on the other thread in the morning,
Ask Rg if you want...
