Actually, I've got a station I like to listen to alot. They have a streaming archive of all their shows for the last 2 weeks, so if I don't like what they're playing right now, I can listen to something else. It's pretty cool, a college radio station out of SeaTown.http://kexp.org

The most convenient is Trago but I'm pretty sure they close it the week before the burn. My fave is Blackrock, which is easy to find if you know where the black rock is - nearly an hour drive from BRC but well worth it, especially @ sunset time. The gate get's pretty cagey about ins and outs, so earlier in the week is your best chance.

Oh, yeah. There's no way you'd be able to go during the event, crossing the playa is a nono, and they have radar now. It was kinda funny last year hearing all the chatter on the radio as someone tried to just drive out across the playa without checking in. They got swarmed. In the dark. On the open playa. By BLM, LEO's, AND Rangers.

Here, try a fin:

Double sunrise: all night partiers would gather at the foot of the man to drink in the sunrise, and at the signal of the dude with the cow skull mask, everyone would get into cars and haul ass to Black Rock spring and enjoy a second sunrise as it came up over the black rock.

Well, time for me to face the wet music.

It's a long day, but it mostly consists of sitting on my ass playing with the computer and listening to music. Occasionally I have a customer, and sometimes I watch a movie. Hard life, huh?

Hey DD, TITWI, BigC, Cryptofishist. BAM. Announcement time: Tonight's special featured artist (via phone interview) is DJ Jason Philips of Portland, OR. Jason has a couple of MP3's floating around, one which I think I heard here on ePlaya ("Dire Consequences" ring a bell?) We are going to chat about music, talk shop about what equipment uses, and most importantly, about an upcoming benefit fundraiser for aide against the devastating shootings in Seattle. Link again is:
www.eou.edu/keol
And like ED said, there probably is only like 6 lines out of the station (it happend when we switched to the new automation program (PRO: better, random tunes CON: not as much linkage.) Word. I'm heading out the door right now. If I can multitask, I'll try to come on if anyone wants to ask Jason some Q & A. LOVE IT!!! :P
