It's still late fall here, and I'm happy for that. But it seems that winter is soon to be upon us. Last year was long and hard (she said), but I'm hoping for a shorter season this year. Time will tell.
It's going to be alright.

We opened the range yesterday even tho we are not really ready.
Cash only, no credit cards.
No POS, handwritten receipts.
The upstairs is chained off and not ready.
But we got to shoot! woo hoo!

Now if I could only have a day off.
I need to do laundry.
My husband is neglected.
My folks get into town for thxgvg Wed eve and my house is a wreck!

I miss most of you!
*sigh*
gulps coffee (thanks ygmir!) and heads out.

That's great news about the range, Risky. Sounds like you've been working hard on that project.

Maybe hire someone to clean. Someone who could use the extra bit of money to do their own Thanksgiving up better.

Don't know what to recommend for husband neglect but I wouldn't enter into that lounger with ygmir just now, being in that situation. :D

I don't think I have ever hired someone to clean my house.
I think I am just too private and cheap.

The range is 50 feet deep.
We raised steel and hooked it at an angle from the ceiling for baffles.
10 bays, machine gun use, no shotguns.
Frangible lead free ammo only, from .380 to 7.82x39.
It is not sound proof; even loud at the outside counter.
My office upstairs is above the downrange; the floor vibrates and it is impossible to hear anything on the phone.
The neighbor businesses are already complaining.

I have decided I hate the term "it is what it is".
I have started saying "fuckit'.

In general I am thrilled. We have worked very hard to get this place open and it is a hit.
I am just tired. Thu with famdamily will make it all better.

Just add gravy!

Hope you folks all have a great Thanksgiving holiday.

Here's some pumpkin pie to get y'all started.

Risky, I know what you mean about being too private to hire someone to clean house. It was just a possible solution. Sometimes we try to do too much.

I'm not making pie, if somebody else brings some great. I like pumpkin pie, but agree with Garrison Keilor on this, "Not much difference between the best pumpkin pie and the worst pumpkin pie you ever had." the pie crust may be another story, but the filling... It's all good.

Hi!

Pumpkin pie is in the fridge and ready for tomorrow. It was cheap but will likely be just fine.

Drinks for the night. Rum and coke
It's going to be alright.

hooray for pie ....

i have to differ on the pie thing, though ... my mom makes awesome pumpkin pie! unfortunately, my non-pie-baking aunt seems to be in charge of bringing pumpkin pie tomorrow... and i offered to bring a cherry tart, which needs to be made soon ...

yum yum!

i feel like drinking something bubbly .... cheers!
