I only get 30mpg out of my car, but it's over 40 years old so has saved the creation of three cars in it's lifetime (so far) ... the amount of energy used up in creating the car in the first place massively dawrfs that used when burning petrol, so in the long run even though there are lots of cars more fuel efficient I'm still saving the environment :D

No technical info.
And misleading or just wrong statements about supercharging.
Looks like heat recovery and steam as storage.
How I don't know.

From The Daily Reckoning;
"Simmons believes that the mere inevitability of declining production will cause oil to hit $200 a barrel by the end of next year. Longer term, Mr. Simmons expects to see oil at $500-700 per barrel. "People need to understand how expensive it is to obtain oil," said Simmons."

Here's some interesting info on the burning of sulphur;
IMO rules allow ships to burn fuel containing up to 4.5 per cent sulphur. That is 4,500 times more than is allowed in car fuel in
the European Union. The sulphur comes out of ship funnels as tiny particles, and it is these that get deep into lungs.
Thanks to the IMO’s rules, the largest ships can each emit as much as 5,000 tons of sulphur in a year – the same as 50million typical cars, each emitting an average of 100 grams of sulphur a year.

There was enough oil for one night, but the lamp burned for eight days.
From the Hebrew word for "dedication" or "consecration", Hanukkah marks the re-dedication of the Temple in Jerusalem after its desecration by the forces of the King of Syria Antiochus IV Epiphanes and commemorates the "miracle of the container of oil". According to the Talmud, at the re-dedication following the victory of the Maccabees over the Seleucid Empire, there was only enough consecrated olive oil to fuel the eternal flame in the Temple for one day. Miraculously, the oil burned for eight days, which was the length of time it took to press, prepare and consecrate fresh olive oil.

That's quite a project. He really did a lot of work. The one thing that is missing is; tons of sound insulation on the firewall and hood. I put a MB 5 cyl in a Pickup and a Perkins 6 cyl in a big Dodge. Both are noisy. Even my Dodge/Cummins is noisy. That Mustang is probably also "nose heavy".

That's nothing... there's a guy with a hot-rodded Duramax diesel in a '94 Mustang getting 35MPG, that runs 9s @ 140 in the 1/4 mile!

" diesel in a '94 Mustang"
IN being the operative word. The engine is so long that the back of the head would be at the cigarette lighter. I have pics of an all-steel VW beetle that is powered by a 427 Chevy,,,, between the seats. It was at Pismo. The guys said that it would make you deaf.

A diesel in a jeep makes a lot of sense.
If you know anyone that wants an ultramodified jeep, I know of one that might be available.
Incredibly tough components.
There is some titanium involved.
Set up for a 350 currently.
Same guy built a tractor puller using a reverse mounted 12 cylinder submarine diesel, injected and turbocharged.
