And... we have a contest! A duel! A Chocolate-Martini-mix-off!

Because... guess who just joined our camp, but the famous (and presumably desired) Martini Steve himself! And we are now scouring the Earth for the secret ingredient of his heavenly Chocolate Martinis, which I first tasted in 2006 (at the ceremony where Kamp Apokiliptika surrendered to the invading "Wires" from Camp Herring).

That said.... It is possible that Martini Steve has retired from competition to give others a chance at the laurels, but I shall certainly bring his attention to your claim of fame and desirability, Rhino!

Secret ingredients? Bring 'em on.

That being said, I must go purchase some Godiva chocolate liqueur, some Trader Vic's, and a few other wonderful specialties for my chocolatier's concoction. You have a mix-off on your hands. May the yummiest, most fattening, and most alcoholic win! (Heck, Eliott, do we need categories of mix?????)

Oh, and tell Martini Steve that 'retired from competition' does not include friendly mix-offs at Burningman. We'd love to hear his stories, too.

Kan nit too. Chuckularone, I bought a set of those circular looms that you can knit a scarf or hat. It was a gift but I used it for one night. You don't have to knit a circle. It can be a straight, flat piece. It's not knitting. It's crochette. It was fun but I don't have time. My dead time is spent at the sewing machine. I bow to your welding skills. (I can't solder).

Rhino, I loves ya like a brudder, but I got two hours of MOOPing that says Martini Steve kicks yer girly-man Godiva to the curb. The man is an ANIMAL! Double-barrelled fists-of-fury take-no-prisoners is the way Steve mixes! Its like watchng a bartending Ninja!

(Of course, I think the scientific method should be applied here. We wouldnt want to be hasty in our comparisons, right?)

BTW: help me here. What is "WWE"? World Wrestling, Ethanol?

Love you and your antics, too, Gray Coyote, but Trader Vic's gives just the right EDGE to take Martini Steve. As far as ANIMALS go, remember, I'm a RHINO. No need for double-barreled fists of fury take no prisoners in the mix. I derail locomotives with the final product. Just like a real rhino. And, as far as ninja go, there's more to a life than shuriken......

[media]

And, since I AM a professional scientist, I got the scientific method down pat.

Nonetheless, GC, I actually named a proposed rockfall repair after you...the Wiley E. Coyote rockfall dike and berm. We put it next to the road to keep the rolling rocks from reaching the road, instead, they jump back into the rock ditch where we can clean them up at our leisure. The doggone thing actually works. It prevented a 20-ton rolling rock from hitting Route 5 this year, so I call it a success.

I wanna hear from Martini Steve that he's up for a few minutes of mixologic madness with the prime pachyderm.

Boy Scout Girl, where's the bacon for the BACON BLOODY MARY?

It uses Bakon brand vodka (bacon infused), bacon tomato juice (make your own), bacon hot sauce (commercially available or make your own) and uses a strip of crispy bacon as a swizzle stick.

A campmate of mine makes the BEST bacon bloodies...homemade bacon infused vodka, super yummy spicy pickled veggies, and the bacon swizzle. Not sure if he is bringing the goods this year but I sure hope so!

I will spill the beans. No secrets here. Its unobtanium. That being said, We are driving across Deep South Tejas today and have several stops planned in search of The Item. Two bottles is a darned good start, but since the judging pool is getting bigger, we may need more!

Rhino: I am indeed flattered by having a ditch named after my namesake! A little more shameless bribery, and I may be pursuaded to vote your way. Until then, I plan to keep it fair and vote for Steve.

Stay away for a few days and the world passes you by. Belated Happy BDay Piney and JStep. BDC now at 6:30 & E. I'll be back in Hushville on E and about 5:10. Hope some of you have a chance to drop by. Look forward to seeing you all. Be doing ARTery shifts on Saturday and Sunday and an ArtTour on Wednesday and ladies massage in the afternoons from 2 - 6 at my camp. Just finished emptying the kiln and taking out this year's shwag. Came out pretty ok. Trimming back the stuff I'm taking and have what goes on the roof of the SUV all planned out. Getting excited about breathing some dust for my 8th year. Hope you get your tix, ASD (((((((((((((ALL)))))))))))))

**humbly**

Thank you. That's the best thing I've been called all week long.

Also, I wouldn't bribe AntiM. I MIGHT be tempted to adopt some wayward art, though. My home gallery only has two pieces in it. The first, egotistically and obviously, is a rhino, done in india ink and watercolor. But, it was a gift from a wonderful lady I know from San Francisco whose roots are close by in Slater, Missouri. The other is appropriate for this burn, since it consists of a wonderful Persian prorcelain motif of a bazaar. It was also given to me by a long-time, honored and honorable friend.

Ah great yeah thanks.

I am finally starting to write down where y'all are going to be in BRC. Can't wait till the M&G to see you; gotta come hunt you down. 8) So far on my list I have:

Marty. 8)

Elliot & FIGJAMville are on 5 and G-ish, yeah?

I personally will be on 6:30 at about where F would be, if F went through, which it does not. Barbie Death Camp starts at 6:30 & E and has almost half of a double block in the direction of 6:45.

Trilo, please tell me again, sorry to have spaced on this: 7:30 & C?

Rhino, I take bribes, gleefully. I won't do shit for you in return, but I will accept the bribe.

Marty and I are both in HUshville, five minutes apart. I am on the border with Kidsville, at 5:15 on E. Marty, which side of Tom's Way are you?

Hi Anti M, I don't know, likely on the 5 side of Tom's Way. We will be on Playa on Friday morning so we won't have too much trouble locating one another as we'll both be on E, Elliot and (((MDF)))), no fear, I'll find you both. MDF, we have a date for sure.

I will be at the ARTery on Saturday morning and all day Sunday greeting the artists as they arrive and need some TLC and help getting their art situated and built and safely. Come by and say hi.

Will be building a Monkey Hut shade structure right on E to cover my new tent as well. Leaving for the dust in about 15 days with a stop at Sierra Hot Springs on the way. Yay!!!
