I haven't, but I would never swear off a food I've never tried.

TPBM's friends say s/he is a picky eater, but s/he would disagree.

Dungeons and Dragons online, with friends. Might play a bit of Dokapon Kingdom with my partner this evening. And some casual gaming, too -- Lexulous (online, not Facebook) and Hearts (the crappy version that comes with windows, in between rounds of Lex.)

It's a pretty great, lazy day. I'd be enjoying it all even more if I hadn't woken up with a head cold. Ah, well...

I am a picky eater. Sensitive palate. It's only in my mid- to late-forties that I've come to like any but the mildest of cheeses. And I can't handle milk that's gone off or mold on anything, even if you cut away the moldy parts.
tpbm wonders if I could have survived any century before the 20th.

Oh, I think you'd have survived. You just might not have enjoyed it very much. Or maybe you'd have been a member of the aristocracy, and your delicate palate would be taken as evidence of your ladyhood.

TPBM has an awards ceremony to attend. Congratulations?

No. No awards given received or spectated upon.

TPBM can't spell "received" without help.

Kinda. I usually have to type it, then look at it to see if it looks correct or not. Or if it's got the spell-checker red line under it.

Sigh... I used to be a champion speller. Something happened in my 30s.

TPBM remembers "jail words" from elementary school.

I don't know that I ever heard that term before. If I did, I blocked out as too painful.
TPBM blocked out the Ten Commandments (Charlton Heston movie) as too silly.

Pretty much. I watched it with my parents when I was wee. My mom was so excited for me to see it, because she remembered it so fondly. And... well... as you say, I've blocked most of it out. I just remember her dismay at realizing how hokey it was.

TPBM wonders what a hoke is.

I don't know anything about neti pots except that they're supposed to help when you're congested. And since decongestants and antihistamines aren't working... well, anyways, I don't have one nor know how to use it, but if I did have one, today would be the day I'd try and figure it out. For respiration, not inspiration... and hoping to avoid aspiration, as that might lead to expiration).

TPBM is feeling spiritual.

Only if by "feeling spiritual" you mean "is so fucking frustrated with income tax filing that she wishes god would do some smiting."

TPBM recognizes that praver from every april.

My income tax situation is pretty simple. And I think our tax code is slightly less convoluted (only slightly) than yours. However, thanks to my tendency to procrastinate, there's always some kind of panic or drama at the end.

TPBM has never lost an important document.

I like hot, dry weather. It's the humid weather that drains me.

Not a hobby, per se, but...

Waaaaay back in the day, I used to really enjoy riding a bike. Then I got in a bad accident and lost my nerve. I just couldn't enjoy it any more, and I eventually stopped. We're talking, like, 25 years ago. I have tried again since, but was terrified and couldn't bring myself to let go of the brake. Anyways, fast forward to now, and I'm kind of having a year of conquering neuroses. Having moved from nearly crying at the mere mention of the word "dodgeball" to being captain of a (really terrible, but really fun) team, I'm now thinking of re-learning to ride a bike.

TPBM has conquered an old fear this year.

An old hobbie? I'm a Flint Knapper It really doesn't get much older than that, 'cept maybe poo flinging or running away from Saber-tooth Tigers.

(Edit because CIFH is fast!)

I really conquered all my old fears when I chose to live life and not survive it. but at 40 just talking to my parents reduces me to a blathering teen all over agian. wierd.

TPBM wonders what Cougar Gold is.

Not yet. I'm claustriphobic. I'm getting better with elevators, but if I feel cornered, well, flight or fight, nes pas? That's good that you want to re-learn how to ride a bike! Very admirable!

tpbm has a bucket list.

Edited because knowmad is a speedy guy too! <3

Cougar Gold: I did wonder, so I looked it up, right after flint knapping. Cheese, glorious cheese!
Bucket List: Nope, I don't.

TPBM is wondering about that weird smell from down the hall.
