The Bar
Love Lenny Jones for me it is not so much the photography art but the web art the way he puts it together...karine wrote:I have a link to show you all. It's not my creation, but I got a glimpse of it today.... this should keep you ALL UP FOR HOURS!

Heh... oh, no, apparently I'm censoring myself and am not going to speak further about jam.
Slide Rock Park was the best part of that trip to Phoenix.. we were there to play waterpolo for the weekend, and stayed an extra day to drive up to Sedona.. (beautiful scenery, too bad about the timeshare sales) and someone in the actual REAL tourism info place recommended Slide Rock Park for a break...
Headed up there, wandered farther up the river to get away from all the folks playing in the slide, spend a couple hours just basking onthe pretty red rocks, listening to the river, enjoying the warm breeze over exposed skin.. then headed back down to the slide area on our way out, and I decided I wasn't gonna be wussy about the cold, so I did the run a couple times.
BRR! I had been HOT all weekend, running around in a tank top and skirt, and now for the next five hours I was bundled in a cardigan and could NOT get my body temp back up! Ah well...
It was lovely, I highly recommend it :)

We had a rare snowfall in Vancouver a couple years back.. just a day or two before we had our pool staff seasonal training (yes, indoor AND outdoor pools at my facility, but only the indoor was open in January)..
So.. the lifeguards in training had a choice: Storm the 1m (refers to an event called Storm The Wall, largest intramurals event held at a college or uni in North America) where they have to climb up onto the 1m springboard from starting in the water (involves lots of weird leg-holds, struggling, grit and determination for the women.. the guys tended to just levetate out of the water and swing themselves up onto the end of the baord)... OR.... run outside and make a snowangel while soaking wet and in your bathing suit :)
I'm proud to say that most people chose the snowangel route.. no wussies at MY pools... :)
I should be heading to bed, too.. g'night, folks!

It's official.. the members of V Camp (all... TWO of us, now!) have unanimously voted to join Bar Camp :)
(Sput, for your mapping purposes, one of our RVs is gone for good (Michelle's), being traded for a car which may possibly have a teardrop trailer.. and the other RV is still unconfirmed, as Cin and her non-vagina'd hubby aren't sure if they'll be joining us or merging into a camp with some other friends.
Me and my dome tent are still in!

Heh, I like that "moaning.." .. kinda how I feel today, too.
Trying to decide if I'm gonna be chill, stay home and do work.. or jump into my bike gear and pedal up to the library to get a copy of the newspaper with the article about hooping that is supposed to be out today... <ponder>
ED - nice pic! Sedona and that area is SOOO beautiful... I just had a hard time getting over all the money-grabbing things... (except for the high-end craft shops all in that one mini-village just over the bridge into Sedona.. spent two hours poking around there, could have been two days... once the hooping thing slows down, I hope to support myself by making high-end craft :)

MOANING......moaning pleasure / pain / groggy / where am I
OH! I am alive at work..Virtual Espressos on the way to all
When I was in AZ, I camped a couple miles upriver from Slide Rock, very beautiful quiet camp..morning and evening dips in the creek. High noon at the VORTEX absorbing the cosmic energy, then a few miles downstream from Sedona to the crossing, hike a mile...more splashing...wetness...very mellow.
