(Cc catches up on all the notes on the dry erase board) Hello sput (Congrats on mention on JRS for Mega Pixels! :D ), J***, ED, TITWI, KIV--- Anything neat happen today? At lunchtime/work, we threw water balloons at our supervisors for a fundraiser. Quite boring, really, until the main boss (kind of a jerk) got hit in the chest with a ballon, and a millisecond later, got hit right in the junk! :D It dropped him slowly to the ground, and I started choking I was laughing so hard. This would be one of the only times I laughed at anothers misfortune, but the look on his face was c l a s s i c.

Ya know CC, I really didn't plan on that announcement being there. I'm actually a bit pissed. I've been feeling like there isn't enough participation to do this this year, and so I've been psyching myself up to tell everyone "Thanks, but let's just play a bit with stuff on the playa, maybe make something, and we'll see about doing the full blown image next year." Now I feel like I have to do it.
It's going to be alright.

It's been a VERY long day. And on top of that I forgot to restock any beer in the fridge so all I have is a case of warm wheat beer.

It's not as bad as I thought it would be.

sput, I hear ya. But the thing is, it's such a great idea! :( On a scale from 1-100, 1 being just a thought and 100 being having all the pixels and sitting and drinking a margirita, how far out is the project? (PM me or you don't have to reply.) The thing I've liked most about going to the desert is having no expectations, hence, everything is the way it should be. I now it feels like a burden, but can it still be flipped around? Since the idea is rolling, and it's not too late (3 months out), just talk to who is involved, and you don't have to be mean, but just let people know "Hey, it's fourth and goal. We can talk about it, or we can start producing. Time to make this happen. Help me help you help me...no more foreplay." :)

CC, we have enough pixels to do an outline of the image at full scale. This could be OK, but it seems like a lot of work for just the outline. I'm thinking I tell people to bring whatever they feel like and we'll figure something out on Wednesday to be ready for Thursday. Maybe a North arrow that doesn't point North. Just something to play around with to figure out what works and what doesn't work.
It's going to be alright.

Got it sputnik...I just know how bad that feeling of feeling under pressure to produce feels. Just try to remember (as the creator) to reserve the right at any time if the whole of things isn't coming together at the last wire, to look around at everyone, get a smile on your face, and say "Fuck it...Burn it." Make a sacrifice to the thought in 06', make the reality for 07. No harm, no foul. :)

Edited to change my "nowing" things to "knowing" things, and it's quite obvious after a pot of coffee, I am knowing I can't type worth shit. :)

CC, that's the one thing I don't do well that I need to make an effort on. Just say "Fuck it, let's have fun". I'm too type A. It's really hard for me.

(smiles to self) sput, you don't even know man. I've tried to live my life with balance. One leg in functional mode (work, friends, social, environment, etc.) while trying to soothe my artistic/creative beast with the other leg. More times than not, its the sway of the creative daydreamer in me that tends to win, while I desperatily try to play catch up the soceity me (remembering to pay bills, meetings, blah, blah, blah.) One thing I've promised myself though is to try to follow my heart as close as is possible, try not to say/act if I'm not sincere about it (I won't fake it), and to just be a simple, humble, and generally good person. I love my life, and if there's any bad in it, then it's up to me to make ammends with myself. There's no room for half-assing when life is so short.

"Thou shalt not burn out." Say it with me, Sput! It's easy if you try...

All I'm sayin' is, is that I don't want this project to be more work than it's worth to you. Frankly, very frankly, I sometimes wonder about you worker-ant types and your need to pound rebar in the hot sun. Meanwhile, grasshopper Sensei plays in the shade. Then when winter comes...

Okay, so the analogy sucks. Just go easy on yourself big fella.

I GOTS TO GET BACK TO WORK!

Goodnight everyone: sput (things will happen the way they were meant to and it will be good, it's just the way of things :D, ED (goog to see the Espresso Thread going and percolating, will contribute electronic art soon), J*** (good word gaming, til next time!), TITWI (keep it fresh, look forward to having some wine/life talk in the dust). To all, goodnight. :D

'morning, ED. Somehow I think that if I'd slept under the NEB, I wouldn't be quite so stiff this morning...

Off to do pool setup for an international swim meet today, after hooping for hours yesterday.. OooOooooooo...

At least there's a hot tub onsite :)

Of course, as observer so devistaingly pointed out, just because I think it doesn't me I'm right.
