Alchemy was about as much fun as you can have with your clothes on ( or off! )

art cars ( pirate ship, flying carpet, big ass bed.., )

Area 51 was tucked up in the georgia pines and had some great music, chill areas wierd aliens and shit

camp Shut the Fuck up! was getting on my nerves the first night but by day two I think i finally got it.., yelling " shut the fuck up " into a megaphone for an hour is annoying..., doing it for four days is a riot

Gerlached and loaded said expecting 2000 this year at Interfuse?

More like 1200.

Larger and new venue, though. It's been moved from Ozark Avalon last year to a campground near Buckhorn, Missouri. Before you start googling where the heck Buckhorn is, there are TWO Buckhorns in Missouri. One in Madison County, one in Pulaski County. The event will be near the latter, actually nearest the town of Lacquey, Missouri.

I've been to Interfuse the past three years. Less art, but what they have is fairly interesting if not good. The fire performance procession before the main burn is memorable.

Radio Electra from the playa comes to Interfuse as a downscaled version called Radio KRZY (motto: "Fuck Shit Up!"). Kokopelli's Pancakes and coffee in the a.m. are legendary. Two versions come to mind....loaded with M&Ms (order name: "Death By Chocolate") and one that's got both M&Ms and BACON ("Heart Attack on a Plate"). All free. No commerce. Decommodified. People who work together are hardcore here.

As far as vibe, it's unquestionably great.

This year promises to be the best yet. I use the burn now to test equipment before the trip to BRC.

Gateway is the St. Louis Burn. I was there for the inaugural burn, and the burn the year after that. Smaller burn (300-ish) Good peeps, and good vibe. Lots of crossover between the Midwest Burners and the St. Louis area burners.

I recommend both as primo burns for who and what they represent.

Bacon is forever. Veni, vidi, pertudi. (We came, we saw, we DRILLED.) - BRC Div. of Geology 2009-2015
I'm here until the serendipitous synchronicity is ubiquitous.

The pirate ship goes to BRC, too.

Three words for you guys... Lakes OF FIRE!!! Totally amazing event that sported amazing people, fantastic art, greats music, a kick ass effigy and last but not least a camp ground that has SHADE. It was colorful and amazing in the day but at night with the effigy and the fire those woods were lit up! The scale was around a thousand (from ticket sales I guess) and while it was cozy in camping quarters everyone really felt like family. So midwest people should totally check that out.
