Sorry, Snake. I've already informed BMORG that we're giving SF Decom a miss this year. You see, Fluffer is entirely a night-time experience-- with the outdoor events starting to shut down at 10:00 PM, I really don't see it as reasonable to make the haul for just an hour of fluffing.

With the vitalization of the Reno Decompression, I must say I am VERY excited about fluffing it up well into the night!

thankyou j f one thing you may not have counted on is the smell of the drier :Drier sheets will be with me always as a constant reminder.... evry time i smell them I remember your piece also I had no audio so it wasn'y creepy at all just fluffy not stuffy it was my best playa memory this year thanks

Thanks, Flygirl. Hmmm- no audio? My mind goes immediately to trace the circuit-- but that's not the important thing, is it? It is my sincere hope that you walk past a laundromat many months down the road, and the smell of dryer sheets puts you right back in the doggy's embrace. When I was set up between Opulent Temple and the Portajohns, I was told the scent of dryer sheets could be detected all the way up on the stage!

As for Pinemom and One Eye, You've got a date with the pooch at Reno Decom. Can't wait to melt your respective brains into fluid!

I was stoked to get the chance to experience Fluffer firsthand, after reading about many art installations that I wanted to visit but missed, and especially after talking about it when randomly meeting you that morning after you'd gone down the Slide of Doom, looking for Neosporin for the burn on your chin. Hope it's healed up well!

As we approach the "Burnal Equinox" I reflect on one of my deepest whishes for the project: That somebody who experienced Fluffer on the playa had an encounter with the fragrance of fabric softener many months later, and was put right back on the playa, mentally.

Anybody doing laundry, walking past a laundrymat or huffing fabric softener sheets and missing Fluffer these days?

Thanks, Simon. Sinister, the way we make you fall in love with doing your laundry!

When we remembered to do it, we would give participants a parting gift. It was a real doggie bag, stuffed with one of your spirals that had "Fluffer BM09" fire-branded on it as well as the dryer sheet used to fluff their coat. We thought it would help with the "anchoring" of good feelings.
